what issues concerned you most in your area

You said: 

Concerns around the Cave Plantation Area, being used by youths to congregate and consume alcohol u18. Large amount of litter left in area. Concerns of Anti social behaviour and criminal damage to vehicles on Rolleston Avenue.

Primarily around the evening times between 18:00 x 23:00 hours.  The route in and out of the location is via Rolleston Avenue, Maltby which young people are using as an egress route.  A longer term action plan is to be devised in relation to the development of the Cave Plantation involving Groundworks Dearne Valley, with regard to tree felling and clear up with some kind of "Beauty Spot" development.  Health and Safety is of paramount importance to individuals frequenting the area.  A consultation with local residents is planned with partners from the Safer Neighbourhood Team to address fears and concerns.  This date is as yet to be confirmed but will be preceeded by a leaflet drop around the area to guage availability of local residents.

1st March 2010.  Numerous patrols without the evening. No youths present, area quiet.

Meeting with Community payback in relation to having area cleaned up. Date set for Tuesday 6th April 2010.

Arrangements have been made for the Probation service to deploy convicted offenders to Cave Plantation during the Easter holiday to tidy the area under the Community Payback scheme. Lily Hall school has agreed to provide skips to remove the gatheredf rubbish.

Victims of criminal damage to motor vehicles have been spoken to at length and arrangements have been made to establish a new neighbourhood watch in the area.

At the PACT meeting on 23.3.10 is was agreed that in light of the ongoing activities and the fact that there have been no reported problems in the area since its adoption as a priority, that this area could be removed in favour of another area being adopted for priority action.
