We asked:

what issues concerned you most in your area

You said:

Youth related Anti Social Behaviour on Woodstock Road and the area around St. Peter's Community Centre.

This has become a priority following the recent Partners and Communities Together event and also incidents reported by members of the public in relation to youth nuisance at this location.

Date of priority:
19 Aug 2011
Approximate times of offence:

This is happening throughout the week and weekend usually between 5-9pm

We did:

>As of 29/12/2011 a total of 120 hrs patrol time has been spent on this priority.

>This week there has once again been no youths in this area during patrols and no reported Anti Social Behaviour incidents at this location and our continued actions appear to have had an effect.

> We have increased uniformed patrols over the past couple of months in this area to provide reassurance to residents and to identify those possibly involved and this appears to have been successful.

>A  total of 12 Parental Advisory Letters have now been delivered to parents of young people who are known to be causing Anti- Social behaviour at this location since this became a priority.

> These young people's details have also been passed on for follow up prevention work with other agencies.

> Local officers continue to work closely with the staff at the Community Centre and in particular the Youth Club to advise young people accordingly regarding their behaviour.

> Residents have been encouraged to report all incidents so officers can attend promptly and deal with any offences accordingly.

> A PACT meeting was held at Abbeydale Picture House on Wednesday 3rd December where PC Mel Pont and PCSO Sarah Hague attended and spoke with local residents regarding issues effecting their community. Most of the residents stated that the Youth related Anti Social Behaviour had decreased in this location since being made a PACT priority and were pleased with Police action.
