You said: 

Burglary and vehicle crime around Arley st, John st and Bramall Lane areas of Highfields.

This priority was agreed at the Partners & Communities Together (PACT) meeting of 27th of May 2009.

Approximate times of offence: 

There is no set pattern to these offences  which are being committed during the day as well as in the night.

We did: 

>The local Police team as well as other Police resources are involved in Operation "KFlutter3" which  is targetting vehicle crime as well as antisocial behaviour in the Arley st, John St, Bramall Lane areas. 

>High visibilty patrols by P.Cs  and P.C.S.O's and Neighbourhood Wardens. So far approximately 40 hours patrol time (as at 12/06/09) has been spent on this priority since it was set on 29th April.

> Plain clothes officers from the Autocrime Unit  and Burglary Unit are also working in the area and other covert activities are ongoing which will help to identify offenders in relation to vehicle crime and burglaries.

>Since May 2009 work carried out by our colleagues in CID has led to 11 offenders of vehicle crime being brought before the courts in relation to 20 offences committed within Sharrow SNA. In addition  11 offenders have appeared before the courts charged with burglary  in relation to 22 offences committed within Sharrow SNA.  More detailed information on CID activity can be seen in the"SNT Action in Your Area "section.

> 2 PCSO's have engaged with motorists parking in the area from 7am providing reassurance,  in addition to offering each motorist a vehicle crime reduction pack.

> Officers have liaised with Neighbourhood Watch in the area to encourage them to report any suspicious activity in the area.

>2 arrests have been made in relation to autocrime offences.

>Partners and other agencies  have been briefed are are supporting the SNT staff.
