What issues concerned you most in your area.
You said: 

Antisocial behaviour (Youth nuisance) & Nuisance Motorcycles in the  London Rd, Washington Rd,Club Garden Rd areas including Mount Pleasent Park 

This priority was first agreed at the Partners & Communities Together (PACT) meeting of 29th of April and will remain a PACT priority following the PACT meeting on the 27 of May.

Anti-Social Behaviour is reported in the Washington / Club Garden Road area from 5pm daily. Motorcycles on a daily basis

We did: 

 

>Operation K-Fridge 2 is currently running to tackle in particular, Anti-Social behaviour in the area. This operation will run throughout the summer months on selected dates into the late evening. Local SNA staff will provide high visibility patrols with additional Police resources, including mounted officers deployed when appropriate.

> Sharrow Community Forum and the Council are looking into the placing of signage regarding the riding of motorcycles in the park and the cost of installing "A" frame gates to prevent access by motor cycles onto the park. 

> High visibilty patrols from 3.30pm onwards  by local SNA Officers,  P.C's  &  P.C.S.Os  together with Neighbourhood Wardens and Special Constabulary Officers, to tackle both nuisance motor cycles and anti-social behaviour.

Approximately 45 hours patrol time has currently been spent on this priority (as at 12/06/09) since it was set on 29th April. 

> One youth was arrested on 1st May on Mount Pleasant Park for public order offences after officers seized an illegal motor cycle.

>Since this priority was set  five illegal motor cycles have been seized by officers during both pro-active patrols and in response to reports from the public. Since the most recent seizure on 2nd May reports of nuisance motor cycles have reduced in the area. 

>One young person whose motor cycle was recently seized has since been issued with an A.B.C (anti-social behaviour contract) in relation to his activities. 

> During the "Smartwater " operation  in Sharrow 27th April -1st May,  SNA officers spoke with local residents and encouraged them to report all incidents relating to nuisance motorcycles in the area and to pass on any information which may help identify those involved.

>Detached Youth workers are working in the Washington Road Flats area targetting relevant young people and providing diversionary activities.

>Our colleagues from the Road Policing Group are patrolling the area and taking enforcement action.

>The Sharrow Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) has adopted the priority within their tactical plan and are implementing a variety of iniatives to reduce and prevent  anti-social behaviour.

>The Kickz project is running workshops to raise awareness amongst young people in relation to their behaviour.
