You said: 

You are concerned about gangs of youths who are congregating in the play area and in the adjacent field, drinking, being rowdy and verbally abusive. The main problem times are Friday and Saturdays from 7 pm onwards.

Problem Solving Plan:

  • Patrols will be made to deter further anti social behaviour.
  • Positive action will be taken with anyone causing anti social behaviour.
  • Youth services will engage with youths at this location.

18/10/2011: Patrolled the area throughout the evening. No youths present. No incidents reported to us.

19/10/2011  :  Three ASB cars out during the evening with Police cadets.  Regular patrols in the area and on the park.  No problems and no incidents reported.

20/10/2011: Regular patrols throughout the evening. No incidents reported to us and no problems seen. No youths present.

21/10/2011: Passing attention given. Nothing seen or heard throughout the evening. No reports recieved.

24/10/2011: Nothing reported to us.

25/10/2011: No incidents reported. Patrols made and all in order no ASB taking place.

26/10/2011: No incidents reported to us.

27/10/2011: No youths seen whilst patrolling the area. No incidents reported to us.

28/10/2011: No incidents reported to us and nothing seen or heard.

31/10/2011: Regular patrols made throughout the evening. Youths advised regarding their behaviour. Residents reported eggs being thrown at windows and passed details of vehicles involved with the youths for follow-up enquiries.

1st, 2nd and 3rd November, Over the eveings the ASB car has been patrolling the area, there has been numerous reports over the past 3 nights from residents having eggs thrown at there houses, whilst no one has been seen one resident has identified one youth involved, they will receive a visit from ourselves and spoken to in front of their parents about the matter, another ASB job reported of youths drinking in an abandoned garage, at the time the ASB car was in the area but the youths left before their arrival. the are ahs been patrolled extensively over the three nights.

04/11/11 hi vis patrols thru the evening by mobile patrols no youths seen all quiet no incidents reported

07/11/11  Hi vis patrols through the evening, no youths seen, however a call came in about 21.20 hours re a property on St James Walk being 'egged', no damage caused.  Complainant not happy as this appears to be happening on a regular basis and he feels that he and his family are being targetted.  Patrols will continue.

08/11/11  Hi vis patrols this evening but no youths seen around the play area.  Four youths seen on corner of Coalbrook Road but not causing any issues.  Complainant on St James Walk hasnt called any incidents in this evening and patrols past the address proved all quiet.

09/11/11 hi vis patrols by asb car all quiet 3 youths on the park but just sat talking no beer no asb by the group. No incidents reported

11/11/11  hi vis patrols by ASB vehicle.  Spoke to youths on park but only sat talking, being quiet and not causing a nuisance.  No incidents reported.

 14/11/11 Hi visability Patrols throughut the a.m/p.m, nothing to report

15/11/11 - Hi Visability patrols throughout the evening, no youths seen causing problems in the area, no incidents to note and nothing reported

21/11/11 hi vis patrols by asb car no youths seen no incidents reported

22/11/2011: Regular patrols throughout the evening were conducted by the anti-social behaviour car. No incidents have been reported to us and no youths seen in the area.

23/11/11 hi vis patrols by asb car a group of 3 youths seen on the park but very quiet and not causing any trouble.no incidents reported.

24/11/11  Attended area three times and on no youths seen on any occasion.  No incidents called in.

25/11/11  High Viz patrols throughout the evening.  No youths seen on the park.  Visited an empty garage around the back of St James Walk where reports of youths are gathering and drinking.  Three males were in the garage on arrival but all three were O18.  They had alcohol with them and we moved them on and away from the area.  No incidents called in.
