People are throwing bricks and rocks at houses on Eden Glade which is resulting in damage being caused.

We did: 

Problem Solving Plan:

  • PC Whelbourn will have responsibility for this plan and will provide regular updates.
  • Patrols will continue to be made to prevent further incidents.
  • PC Whelbourn will research previous incidents to make sure that all lines of enquiry have been followed to identify offenders.
  • We will explore what can be done to prevent missiles being thrown from Wesley Avenue and the surrounding area.
  • Regular contact will be maintained with occupants of Eden Glade.
  • Residents will be offered/included in Operation Coverage Anti Social Behaviour weekend patrols.
  • Anyone identified causing damage will be positively dealt with.

08/09/10 - High Visibility patrols were conducted by officers up until 10pm with no incidents to note, no youths were seen in the area of the garage site at all throughout the evening

11/09/10 - On arrival to the garage site at 18.45hrs the gates in the entrance were padlocked. No access was gained. All appeared quiet in the area, with High Visibility patrols were conducted in the surrounding areas

15/09/10 - The gates to the garage site were padlocked so access wasnt gained. All appeared quiet in the surrounding area.

21.9.2010 Update from Sergeant Stuart: Operation Coverage anti social behaviour patrols were carried out Friday and Saturday evening. No youths were seen at the location or surrounding area. The garage gates were locked and secured. I am not aware of any incidents having been reported.

21/09/10 Garage site gates locked and secure, no nuisance youths in area. Repeat victim visited for an update and all has been quiet since the gates have been locked.

22.9.2010 Attended and spoke with one of the main residents suffering from anti social behaviour (ASB). There have been no recent incidents since the gate to the garage site was erected. Other family suffering from ASB were not in. A walk about has been arranged with partners on 23.9.2010 to look at the location with a view to exploring any further interventions to prevent damage.

23.9.2010 Update from Sergeant Stuart: Walk about held in the garage site at Wesley Avenue, Aston which backs onto Eden Glade. Partners attended from Street Pride, Environmental Enforcement. Councillor Swift, Area Assembly and the police. Looking at putting up meshing in the tree line to intercept any further missiles.

27/09/10  High visibility patrols carried out, no issues were called in and no incidents of note.

28/09/10  ASB high visibility patrols throughout the evening.  No incidents called in none noted.

29/09/10  Mobile high visibility ASB patrols carried out during the evening.  No incidents called in and none noted.

30.9.2010 Update from Sergeant Stuart: There have been no further incidents of damage.

04/10/2010: Numerous high visibility patrols conducted throughout the evening whilst carrying out Anti-social behaviour patrols. No incidents brought to our attention.

07/10/2010: Garage site gates locked and all appeared quiet in the surrounding area. No incidents reported.

11/10/2010  Regular patrols throughout the area, no incidents to report.

12/10/2010  High visibility patrols carried out throughout the evening but nothing seen and no incidents reported.

13/10/10  High visability patrol throughout the evening from 17:15 - 22:00hrs, no issues or incidents to report

14/10/2010  High visibility patrols though the evening, no incidents to report and none called in.

15/10/2010  High visibility patrols all evening, no incidents and nothing to report.

17.10.2010 Update form Sergeant Stuart: I have spoken with both of the families who have been suffering from anti social behaviour. Since the gates to the garage site have been out up and locked there have been no further incidents.
