Following a burglary on Scarsdale Street in which electrical goods and a car were stolen, officers identified 4 suspects. All 4 were arrested and 3 have been charged with burglary. The 4th was released without charge. The rate of burglary in the area has significantly reduced since these arrests.

Work is ongoing to secure £40k of Home Office funding to target harden properties on Victoria Street with better locks, alarms and other security devices.

At the PACT on 5th October 2009 it was agreed that this should be discharged as a priority.
