Criminal Damage and Burglary in the Priority 1 area of Dinnington (Doe Quarry Lane/Doe Quarry Terrace/Scarsdale Street/Victoria Street/Howard Street/Clarence Street
Agreed at PACT meeting on 5th July 2010.
w/c 5th July 2010 - directed patrol area for Officers and PCSO's.
This area became a PACT priority in July 2010, regular patrols were carried out prior to this period by PCSO's and Police Officers as this area forms part of the Neighbourhood Action Group.
During the initial phase of the PACT, a number of consultation meetings have taken place with partners including Area Assembly, Environmental Pro-active Enforcement Officers, Rotherham Wardens, Fire Service and RMBC.
Two youths were detained on suspicious of theft of pedal cycles, following a search of one property a large amount of bike frames were recovered from the outhouse. Photographs of the bike frames have been published and are available to view at Dinnington Police Station.
Vulnerable vehicle and property checks have been carried out on various dates by PCSO's patrolling this area. Vehicles and properties identified as being vulnerable have been recorded and owners/residents have been advised accordingly and given crime prevention advice.
Regular patrols continue in this area by the SNT and Pro-active Enforcement Officers. On 20th August 2010 we conducted a walkabout in this area with other partners.
Regular meetings have been set up with partner agencies to look at ways in which we can improve the area and assist local residents.

At the PACT meeting held on 6.9.10 it was agreed that this priority could be discharged and dealt with through intensive action by the multi-agency Neighbourhood Action Group which has agreed it as the single priority area for Rother Valley South.
