We asked:

At the Community meeting on 29th September 2010, we asked: 'what issues concern you most in your area?'

The Community meeting for your area is held on the last Wednesday of the month from 10:00am at Manor Top Library.  This is your chance to meet members of your Safer Neighbourhood Team and discuss issues that concern you, the area in which you live, and be a part of the tasking process for both the Police and our partners.

Youth related Anti-social Behaviour on Beaumont Avenue.

Date of priority:

Approximate times of offence:

Afternoons and Evenings.

Both PCSO’s and PC’s have directed their patrols in to the area.  They have looked at being in the area during the times anti-social behaviour has previously been reported.  These patrols have been in cars, on foot and on cycles.

A number of parents have been spoken to informally about their childrens' behaviour.  This has been done at the Officers discretion for low-level anti-social behaviour where it is believed it can be stopped by chastisement from parents.  This is common when dealing with younger children.

Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team are currently gathering information through observations and reports from local residents.  This will be used to take action against those involved in criminality.

Residents who have expressed concerns have been provided with the areas Police Community Support Officers details, so that they can continue to liaise with the safer neighbourhood Team and be updated of any action taken.

Officers have been working alongside partner agencies such as Activity Sheffield and the Youth Offending Teams to assist in the provision of diversionary activities for young people. These have been local football matches and activities during Operation Staysafe which utilised the Youth Offending Service Activity Vans.

There was 1 reported incident relating to this priority during December 2010 (Nuisance Youths).
