A new police initiative has been put into effect as of 1st October till 31st October 2010 whereby the police will patrol current PACT priorities and hot spot area with a dedicated anti social behaviour resource.

Foot patrol done by Pcso Bennett and Sgt Hunter. A number of youths were gathering o/s the Londis shop. Several of the youths began to sing on the top of their voices. They then went from there onto Durham Rd

The same youths seen again on Ely Rd. They were o/s an address some of which were sat on the fence. One particular male became loud and began to swear, after being warned of his behavior he refused to stop and so was arrested for Sec 5 Public Order.

At  21.00hrs 15 youths were seen on Beckett Rd near the bus stop o/s Unity Flats. They were dispersed and split up only to be found in separate groups back on Ripon Ave and Chester Rd.  Patrols where conducted by all staff on the SNT either on foot or mobile patrol in the area.

At 8pm, all SNT staff deployed into the Cathedral Estate on foot and in police vehicles after a report of a large group causing ASB. These groups were dispersed and moved from the area.

Section 30 dispersal order now in place covering Wheatley estate, SYP and DMBC will conducted numerous patrols throughout the days and nights engaging with any group of 2 or more, causing or likely to cause anti social behaviour.

2 Pc’s and 4 PCSO’s conducted patrols and spoke to a groups of youths. Warnings where given out to the group. A number of dispersals where given during the afternoon and evenings from the SNT.

At 8.50pm PCSO Moseley stopped a group of youths that had caused ASB earlier on in the day and given direction to disperse from being part of a group likely to cause ASB in the estate. PC Edwards, PCSO Baker and CSW Markham also patrolled the area and returned one youth home due to being under the age of 16. 

At 9.15pm a further person was given the direction to leave the area of Wheatley and not return for 24 hours due to the person not living in the dispersal area.

At  00.30 on Ripon Avenue.  INCIDENT 1461/29/10/2011 Noise Nuisance. Officers conducted a patrol to this location and witnessed loud singing emanating from a property. Officers spoke to the tenant a and issued a male with a noise warning letter. Nuisance Team Updated.

Pc 1173 Buddle and Pcso 8073 Langstaff conducted mobile patrols until 4am.No incidents throughout the night.2xmales only seen on Chester road.

Officers from the local Safer Neighbourhood team, British Transport Police, Special Constables and South Yorkshire Travel Bus company conducted patrols in the area from 6pm to 9pm. No youths were seen to be causing any anti social behaviour or throwing stones at the passing bus, however a group of youths were spoken to on Beckett Road as part of the early intervention engagement.

Patrols were conducted in the area, jointly with DMBC. Incident attended near the Section 30 whereby a vehicle was severely damaged.  Ongoing investigation being made. 

 

30+ people involved in a large-scale disturbance on Parkway North, Wheatley which resulted in extensive damage being caused to a motor vehicle.  So far two people have been arrested and are currently on bail, other arrests are to be made.  Anyone with any information to assist please get in touch.

Throughout the day PCOS 8178, 8298 and 8073 patrolled the area of which no Antisocial Behavior incidents were received through the day.

During shift 8073 Langstaff and 8298 conducted footpatrol.No crimes over night in the area of note.Spoke too a couple of residents in the unity flats.Was mentioned that a group of kids are congregating in the Unity Flats area near the door ways on a evening.Extra patrols to be conducted in the area.

09.01.12 - 8073  Langstaff, cycle patrol from 4pm till 5pm.Spoke to two residents on Ripon Ave. No Reassurance visits or Police incidents during that time.

10.01.12 - Burglary Dwelling on Litchfield road,accured.8178 Kirk Cycle patrols conducted between 3pm and 3.30pm.Evening patrols from 8.45pm till 9.30pm.Police Dome Camera’s checked.

12.01.12 - Mobile patrols conducted by SNT from 6pm through the shift till 9.30pm.One police Incident of note. Group of youths causing ASB near to the bottom of Liverpool Ave. Snt arrival group of 8 youths dispersed. One criminal Damage to vehicle on Liverpool Ave,Three Males stopped and details taken. Re assurance carried out also.

17.01.12 - Pcso’s conducted patrols from 10.00hrs for two hours, visited the William hill betting shop re Anti Social Behavior in and outside the shop.2xmales will be issued with banning letters. Pcso’s also visited Community office on Becket Road.Victims of crime and ASB re assurance visits completed in the area.

18.01.12 - Urban PCSO were engaged majority of the shift with traffic duties due to police incident New Bridge. 

19.01.12 - PCSO Kirk and PC Buddle made mobile patrol on Rippon Avenue and Parkway North during times of 11:00-12:30.  X 1 reassurance  visit made and a local resident spoken to. 

20.01.12- PCSO Kirk and Langstaff made mobile patrol within the Cathedral Estate area between times of 15:30 and 17:30.  X 3 reassurance visit made on Durham Road, Ely and Chester Road.  Bike patrol made during the evening from 19:30. Mounted Police Officers patrolling Cathedral Estate. 

25.01.12 - Mobile patrol made by PCSO Cooke and PCSS Featherstone at 13:30 on Ely, Rippon, Lichfield Road.  Mobile patrol made by PCSO Cooke and Butterfield at 21:00 within the Cathedral Estate.  Area appeared quiet and in order.
