Avondale Road. Anti-Social Behaviour issues at the rear of the properties. PACT Meeting 20/05/10
21.05.10 – Patrols were made along Avondale Road and surrounding streets by Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Evans from 2.20pm until 3.15pm and again from 7.30pm onwards by PCSO Evans and PCSO Quinn. A Smartwater was delivered to an Avondale Road resident and number of other local residents. Neighbourhood Watch members were also spoken to by officers.
24.05.10 – Foot patrols made by SNT staff across shift hours from 10am onwards, Police Constable (PC) Freestone and PCSO Quinn conducted bicycle patrols in and around Avondale Road area from mid afternoon onwards. Community Safety Wardens (CSWs) were in the area conducting high visibility patrols in the area at approx 10.30am.
25.05.10 – PCSO Quinn and PCSO Evans conducted mobile patrols along Avondale Road and the surrounding streets from 10.30 am onwards till 12 noon. Patrols were made again around area by SNT staff from mid afternoon onwards until 4pm. CSWs were in the area all day today conducted a survey with the local residents.
26.05.10 – PCSO Evans and PCSO Quinn patrolled Avondale Road and surrounding streets from 10.30am until 12 noon. PCSO Evans and a CSW conducted a Smartwater at a property on Glamis Road and delivered SNT contact details to several residents in the area from 3pm until 5pm.
27.05.10 – PCSOs patrolled area and surrounding streets across shift hours 8am- 5pm. CSWs were also in the area at 1.45pm for one hour. During their patrols they also included the wasteland at the rear of Avondale Road.
28.05.10 – CSWs were in the area conducting high visibility patrols in the area at approx 1pm for two hours including the waste ground at the rear of Avondale Road.
02.06.10 – Police Community Office Supervisor (PCSS) and PCSO Quinn were in the area conducted high visibility patrols in the area from 7pm onwards. During their patrol they engaged with local youths in the area.
03.06.10 – PCSO Evans, Bates and Quinn conducted foot and mobile patrols Avondale Road and surrounding streets from 2pm until 4pm and again from 7pm until 9.20pm. During their patrols they also included the wasteland at the rear of Avondale Road.
04.06.10 – PCSO Evans and Bates patrolled area on and around Avondale Road from 7.00pm till 8.30pm. PCSS Dishman and PCSO Quinn carried out mobile patrols during the same time period. PCSO Evans contacted a resident of Avondale Road about the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme (NHW) that has been set up in the area. This was done with regards to obtaining some signs and window stickers for the new Neighbourhood Watch members.
08.06.10 - PCSO Quinn and Bates patrolled the area twice during the day. These times were approx 10.30am for one hour and 2.30pm for one hour. CSWs have also been in the area patrolling at approx 09.30am for two hours. during this time the wasteland at the rear of Avondale road was also patrolled.
09.06.10 - PCSO Quinn and Bates patrolled the area during the day. In the first Instance this was at approx 10.30am for one hour. PCSO Quinn then conducted another patrol at approx 4pm for one hour. This patrol also including the wasteland at the rear of the properties. CSWs patrolled the area at approx 10.45am for one hour and thirty minutes.
10.06.10 – PCSO Evans and PCSO Quinn patrolled the area from 11am till 12.30. A Smartwater was also delivered to a local resident. CSWs were also in the area conducting high visibility patrols at approx 11am for one hour.
11.06.10 – CSWs were in the area conducting high visibility patrols of Avondale road and the surrounding area at approx 11.30am for two hours.
12.06.10 – PCSO Evans and PCSO Quinn patrolled the area at 10am for approx 1 hour. This patrol also including the wasteland at the rear of the properties.
16.06.10 - PCSO Quinn patrolled the area on his bike at 4pm for one hour. PCSO Evans, PCSS Dishman and PC Hoyland attended a Neighbourhood Watch meeting with residents of the local area.
17.06.10 - This Issue was discussed at the PACT meeting that was held at the DEMRP buliding. Because of ongoing issues it has been decided to retain this priority for another month.
18.06.10 – Patrols made both on foot and mobile by PCSO Evans and PCSO Quinn from 2.30pm till 4.30pm, and again from 8pm until 9.30pm.
21.06.10 - CSWs conducted high visibility patrols of the area including the wasteland at the rear of the properties at 9.30am for two hours and again at 2pm for one hour.
22.06.10 – Foot patrols made along Avondale Road and surrounding area by PC Hoyland and PCSO Evans from 10am until 11.30am. Local shop keeper and residents spoken to whilst patrolling in area. CSWs have been in the area conducting patrols at approx 10am for two hours.
23.06.10 – Foot patrols have been done by PC Hoyland and PCSO Evans from 10am until 12noon around the local area. Local residents and members of local Neighbourhood Watch spoken to. Appointments have also been made to deliver Smartwater to residents in area. CSWs have conducted high visibility patrols in the area between the hours of 2pm to 4pm.
24.06.10 – Foot patrols have been made by PCSO Evans from 11am until 12.30pm and at 2.30pm-3.30 pm around the local area. The area of the wasteland at the rear of the properties were also included in this patrol. CSWs have been in the area conducting patrols at approx 10am for two hours. During this patrol they spoke to local shop owners about possible issues in the area.
25.06.10 - CSWs have been conducting high visibility patrols in the area of Avondale and the surrounding wasteland. These patrols were conducted at approx 9.30am for two hours.
28.06.10 – High visibility patrols of this area have been completed by PCSO Quinn and PCSS Dishman at approx 4pm - 5.30pm and again between 8pm and 9pm. CSWs were in the area also at 4pm for a two hour patrol.
29.06.10 – PCSO Colclough and Martin carried out high visibility footpatrols between 2pm and 3pm. CSWs have been in the area conducting patrols at 2.30pm for two hours.
30.06.10 – PCSO’s Quinn, Bates and Evans along with CSW’s patrolled Avondale, Strathmore, Glamis and Harewood Road whilst on duty both mobile and on foot. Took place between hours of 3pm till 5pm and again from 7.30pm till 9.30pm. Residents were spoken to with regards to recent incidents and informed about the local Neighbourhood Watch Scheme which has recently been set up in the area.
01.07.10 – PCSO Evans has been in the area conducting high visibility patrols of the area at approx 3pm – 5pm. Mobile patrols were also conducted at 8pm – 9pm by PCSOs Bates and Quinn. During this time, the wasteland at the rear of the properties was also patrolled. CSWs have also been conducting patrols in the area during the evening.
02.07.10 - PCSO Evans patrolled Avondale Road and surrounding streets from 3pm till 5pm. Local residents and local business owners spoken to at length. Attended property on Avondale Road and spoke to the owner who had recently suffered a burglary. Spoken at length re home security and offered to contact victim support for her on her behalf. PCSO Evans and PCSO Quinn again foot patrolled the area from 8pm till 9.30pm.
06.07.10 - PCSO Quinn and PCSO Bates patrolled area on and around Avondale Road from 10.30am till noon and again from 2pm till 4pm. CSWs were in the area also today conducting high visibility patrols. These were done from 10.30am for two hours.
07.07.10 - CSW Mulligan and a Community First Officer (CFO) put up Neighbourhood Watch signs on Avondale Road, Glamis Road, Strathmore Road and Harewood Road. PCSO Evans made contact with Victim Support to make referral for an Avondale Road resident following a recent burglary. This was so she could receive further home security advice. CSWs were in the area with the neighbourhood manager to look at the access problems for the residents.
08.07.10 - PCSO Evans and CSW Mulligan attended an addresson Avondale Road about an incident involving a nuisance male whohad been shouting, swearing and causing damage in the early hours of the morning. PCSO Evans and PC Freestone later spoken to Neighbourhood Watch Co ordinator who stated the male was seen going into a local address. However despite attempts at 1.30pm and later at 3.10pm by PCSO Evans and CSW’s, no one answered door.
09.07.10 - PCSO Evans and PCSO Bates conducted patrols around Avondale Road and Glamis Road from 3pm till 4.30pm and attempted to make contact at the address of the incident reported on 08/07/10, again however no one answered door. Mobile patrols again made by PCSO Evans and PCSO Quinn later from 7.45 pm until 9.15pm. A last attempt was made at the address to make contact with regards to the incident that had occured on 08/07/10 at this time, a calling card was left at the address asking them to make contact with the local SNT. PCSO Evans has also spoken to the Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator for the area. PCSO Evans and CSW Mulligan visited a local resident on Harewood Road, who expressed concerns about the level of parking on local streets in the area and concern about cars speeding. He was informed about the next PACT and Neighbourhood Watch meeting. CSWs, PCSOs Quinn and Evans have been in the area conducting high visibility patrols during the evening from approx 7pm-9pm.
11.07.10 - Police Sargeant West & PC Freestone conducted mobile patrols in the area.
14.07.10 - Patrols in the area by PCSOs Quinn and Evans. The wasteland at the rear of Avondale was also patrolled during this time. These patrols were done between 3pm – 5pm and again in the evening 7pm – 8pm.
15.07.10 – PCSO Quinn has been in the area conducting patrols on his bike at approx 4pm for one hour. Mobile patrols were then conducted at the later time of 8.30pm for one hour by PCSO Quinn and Special Constable Lydon.
16.07.10 – PCSO Evans foot patrolled area from 4pm onwards for an hour. PCSO Evans and a CSW again patrolled area including alleys from 6.45pm till 8pm. A local resident on Harewood Road was visited and given Smartwater and crime prevention advice.
This was dicusssed at the PACT meeting on 15/07/10. Due to this being an on going issue and there being a drop in anti-social behaviour in the area it has been decided not to keep this a a PACT prioirity.
