We did: 

01.09.11 - The councils Neighbourhhod Response Team (NRT) have been informed via e-mail that this area was now a PACT priority. This was done so that it could be included in the patrols.

02.09.11 - Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) Bennett and Rodgers have been conducting high visibility patrols of the area this evening. These patrols were conducted from approx 8pm-10pm. Groups in cars were noticed in the location at this time. PCSO Quinn And PC Buddle conducted high visibility patrols of the area.

03.09.11 - PCSOs Quinn and Bates have been in the area conducting a leaflet drop of the local residents to informing that the area had been adopted as a PACT priority. Arrangements are also being made for signage to be place in the area to warn people of the powers that are available to the police if they misuse their vehicles in the area.

04.09.11 - PC 1300 Robb Pc 2609 Disbury A/Ps 3021 Wood in separate vehicles along with Road Policing Grp  (RPG)between 7.00pm and 11.00pmpatrolling of car park display board warning of seizure of vehicle displayed at entrance to Herten Way Car Parks. Three vehicles issued Adm 171. RPG have two vehicle patrolling nights and in car park at present (10.45pm). The Neighbourhood Response Team (NRT) have been in the area this evening , at approx 7.30-8pm 10 vehicles left the area after they arrived. They returned later in the evening at approx 10.30pm.  During this patrol 1 x vehicle was moved from the area, after being spoken to.

05.09.11 - The Neighbourhood Response Team (NRT) have been in the area this evening at ap prox 8pm. During this patrol  the cars that were in the car park left the area. The NRT later returned at approx 10.30pm and 10 people were spoken to re litter in the car park while the other drivers moved out of the area after seeing the arrival of the Neighbourhood Response Team.

07.09.11 - A high visibility presence was conducted of all of the car park areas today week by officers on their bikes during the St Leger Race meeting.

12.09.11 - PCSO Quinn today visited the Premier Inn to speak to the management with regards to the issues that had been occurring in the car park. They stated thing had become a lot better, but the NRT were requested on two occasion over the weekend.

13.09.11 - Staff from the Safer Neighbourhood  Team (SNT) have been conducting proactive patrols of this area during their shift pattern of an 8am-5pm. The Neighbourhood Response Team (NRT) have been in the area this evening. During this patrol 3 x vehicles were seen in the area, but were  not seen to be committing any anti social behaviour.

14.09.11 - Staff from the Safer Neighbourhood  Team (SNT) have been conducting proactive patrols of this area during their shift pattern of an 8am-5pm. The Neighbourhood Response Team (NRT) have been in the area this evening. During this patrol no vehicles were seen in the area

16.09.11 - Staff from the Safer Neighbourhood  Team (SNT) have been conducting proactive patrols of this area during their shift pattern of an 8am-5pm. Staff have also spoke to their colleagues who monitor the cameras in th car park. They have asked for them to obtain details of any vehicles involved in anti-social behaviour whilst driving. The Neighbourhood Response Team (NRT) have been also in the area this evening. During this patrol 6 x vehicles were moved from the area

19.09.11 - The Neighbourhood Response Team (NRT) have been in the area this evening. During this patrol no vehicles were noticed in the area.

20.09.11 - PCSO Quinn today visited the Premier Inn to discuss if there had been any issues over the weekend. They did state that while the cars had been in the car park, they had not recieved any complaints from their residents who had stayed over night.

21.09.11 - PCSO Quinn has been in the car park conducting  high visibility patrols. A few vehicles were noticed in the car park. No ASB was noticed at this time. Information from a colleague also informed him that vehicles that had been noticed in the car park had been seen congregating in other parts of doncaster.

22.09.11 - PCSOs Quinn and Butterfield have been involved in a Trojan bus operation this evening. During this operation, the patrols have included Gliwice Way and the dome car park.

23.09.11 - PCSO Quinn has been in the car park this evening. During this patrol he was in a police vehicle. He parked up and monitored the behaviour of the drivers. He also made contact with the camera room and asked them to monitor the car park to try and obtain details of cars and drivers behaving in an anti social manner. This evening one car was siezed from the car park after it was witnessed that the driver was driving it in an anti-social manner. This was siezed using section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002. The Neighbourhood Response Team (NRT) have been in the area this evening. During this patrol no vehicles were noticed in the area.

24.09.11 - PC Micklethwaite has tonight seized a car after it was seen that the driver was driving at speed in the car park on Herten Way. Additional patrols of the of car parks were also conducted. The Neighbourhood Response Team (NRT) have been in the area this evening. During this patrol 6 x vehicles were  seen in the area but they were not commiting any anti social behaviour.

25.09.11 - PC Robb and PC Micklethwaite tonight have been  in separate vehicles to patrol the area PC Micklethwaite was using the speed gun to slow down vehicles on Gliwice way. It was noticed that fewer vehicles were visiting the car parks. No vehicles were seen in the Dome car parks at all. A group of five cars were also moved off after one of the vehicles keeps pipping the horn. The Neighbourhood Response Team (NRT) have been in the area this evening. During this patrol 18 x vehicles were moved from the area. This was at 9.25pm. They returned later in the evening to find that the car park was empty

26.09.11 - The Neighbourhood Response Team (NRT) have been in the area this evening. During this patrol 3 x vehicles were moved from the area.

27.09.11 - PCSO Quinn has today visited the Premier Inn. They stated that although they had made a couple of calls over the weekend, things had, overall improved in the area.

28.09.11 - It was decided at the PACT meeting that due to the continuing problems in the area that this would remain as a PACT priority for another month.

29.08.11 - PCSO Quinn has today completed a  high visibility patrol of the area during his shift pattern of 8am-5pm. He has also contacted South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue (SYFR) to attend the area with their media van and Subaru car. The media van contains educational information as well as a driving simulator. This is designed to educate the drivers of the consequences of their actions through bad driving. 

30.09.11 - PCSO Quinn and PC Powell-Casey have today been in the car parks of the Dome  and Cheswolds  to observe for dangerous driving. Only 3 cars were seen congregating in the car park at this time. They also called into the Premier Inn to inform them that staff had been patrolling the car park and to ensure they had all of the correct contact details. PC Lambert has also been in the area monitoring the behaviour of drivers in the car park.

05.10.11 - PCSO Quinn and PC Wood today have been in the area conducting patrols of the whole of the area. These patrols also included the car parks at the dome and the Keepmoat stadium. A couple of the local residents today contacted the SNT via e-mail. They stated that whilst on a couple of nights things had seemed to have got better, the issues were still continuing with regards to anti social behavior from cars on the car park and on Glwicie Way.

06.10.11 - PCSO Quinn has today been into the businesses  near the dome and given them the contact details of the local officers. PCSO Quinn, Murray and PC Woods returned to the area later in the evening, to conduct a patrol. One driver was spoken to about his parking, advised accordingly and moved from the area.

07.10.11 - PCSOs Quinn and Murray have been in the area this evening conducting the patrols in the area. During this patrol they called into the businesses in the area. A driver was also spoken to in the car park of the Keepmoat stadium and advised about the manner of his driving.

10.10.11 - PCSO Quinn and  Kirk today worked a 10am-aopm shift pattern. This was primarily aimed at tackling ASB in the central area. During these patrols attempts were made to complete patrols of the Dome car park and surrounding area.

PCSO Butterfield also attended a meeting with SYFR with regards to the use of their media bus and the new sporty Subaru car. Arrangements are being made to use it when it is up and running in two weeks. between the hours of 2200-2300hrs PC Robb patrolled car park no issues were noticed during this time.

22.10.11 - At approx 21.00 hrs PC Robb patrolled the car parks no problems were noticed at the time of this patrol and  no cars were noticed to be parked in groups.

25.10.11 - Officers from the SNT today worked a 10am-10pm shift pattern. This was primarily aimed at tackling ASB in the central area. During these patrols attempts were made to complete patrols of the Dome car park and surrounding area.

27.10.11 - PCSO Quinn has today extensively patrolled the car parks of the dome. During this patrol he also called into the Premier Inn and spoke to them about any issues that they may have encountered over the weekend. The did say that the issues have dissipated over recent weeks.

28.10.11 - PCSO Quinn and Police Community Support Supervisor (PCSS) Dishman have completed patrols of the car park. PCSS Featherstone and PC Micklethwiate have also been patrolling  this area. During their patrol two youths on mopeds were issued with a warning about their manner of driving (Admin 171’s). Further offences will result in their mopeds being confiscated.

31.10.11 - Today all the staff from the SNT have had their leave cancelled to work during this busy period. Because of this high visibility patrols have been conducted in all of the hotspot areas. This was done as part of a planned police operation call “Anticipate”.  Staff have been working through until 4am

09.11.11 - PCSO Murray on patrol attended Premier Inn, who have reported no incidents or issues since 30.10.11. The Cheswold, Vue Cinemas, Frankie &  Bennys and Doncaster Bowl visited. All have stated no issues for the last week.

25.11.11 - PCs from your local SNT have today been completing a Street Drinking Operation on St James St. This was done to target drinkers on the estate and offer those help and support through an agency called Doncaster Alcohol Services. (DAS). PCSO Quinn has today been in the area conducting high visibility patrols on his bike. These patrols were completed  throughout his shift pattern of  1-10pm.

26.11.11 - The NRT has this evening responded to a call with regards to there being nuisance motorbikes in the local area. The area was patrolled for both nuisance motorbike and cars and none were seen or heard at the time of the patrol.

28.11.11 - South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue (SYFR) have attended the car park this evening with their media bus and Suburau sports car to engage with the drivers in the car park. They saw approx nine cars in total and spoke to the occupants who seemed surprised that they were there but thought it was a good idea. It is thought that the cold weather kept a lot of the usual drivers away. Another engagement night is planned for the future.

01.12.11 - PCSO Quinn, PCSS Dishman and PC Wood have been working until midnight today and during this time they have been monitoring the car park. Other officers from the SNT have also been working until 4am.

02.12.11 - The NRT have been patrolling the car parks in question in the early hours of this morning. No nuisance vehicles were seen or heard at the time of the patrol.

05.12.11 - PCSO Quinn has today called in all of the businesses in the area of the Dome and asked if they wish to participate in a Business Watch for the immediate area. This is an initiative that is being launched by SYP as a way of businesses sharing information between themselves and solving any issues that may arise together. The NRT have also been in the area patrolling the car park to identify suspicious vehicles. This patrol was completed at approx 12.55am.

06.12.11 - A request has been made by PCSO Quinn for the crash car demo to be displayed in the  Cheswolds car park. This at the moment has been displayed at the Hub college and now is in  Doncaster town centre. It is to advertise SYP’s drink drive campaign for the Christmas period. This campaign is known as “Shaken and Slurred”. It is a crashed damaged vehicle that is displayed to members of the public and highlights the dangers of drink driving. 

07.12.11 - A request has been made to Doncaster Council with regards to improving the lighting in the car park and also to prune the trees in the immediate area. This would enable better viewing of the car park via the CCTV cameras. The NRT have also been in the area at approx 10.20pm to conduct a high visibility patrol.

08.12.11 - Officers from your local SNT have been completing patrols of the area today by working a split shift system. Some officers worked an 8-5 shift while some officers completed a shift of 10am-10pm.  This was to ensure that high visibility patrols were available in the PACT priority areas.

04.01.12 - The NRT have been in the area monitoring the car park ensuring that no one was driving in a inappropriate manner. The was done at approx 2.30am.

09.01.12 -PCSOs Quinn and Langstaff have been including this area during their patrols. These patrols were conducted during their shift pattern of 1pm-10pm.

10.01.12 - A site visit has been conducted today with a member of the DMBC commercial planning dept, to look at ways of reducing noise and anti social behaviour (ASB), which is caused by nuisance vehicles gathering in the Herten way car park. The areas that were looked at

  • Changing the lighting, from the dull orange bulbs to a white light. This  will illuminate the car park better which will help in identifying offenders and assist in crime prevention. This would also  provide a safer area for the public, parking their cars and other visitors that may visit the site for legitimate means.
  • The possibility of adding additional lighting in the car park. This would again provide a safer area for the public, parking their cars and other visitors that may visit the site for legitimate means.
  • Restricting access to two large bays, which back onto Gliwice Way, during certain periods by either cordoning off the area or removing that area of the car park totally.
  • Traffic calming measures within the car parks to stop offenders causing ASB.
  • Pruning of trees, to enable the CCTV system to identify offenders, and provide reassurance to users of the leisure complex.

A request is also being submitted to DMBC for additional litter patrols in the area during the main offending times.

The relevant documentation has been completed and submitted to SYFR to request their media van and Subarau  sports car. The dates that have been selected are as follows, 29/01/12,  05/02/12,  26/02/12.

12.01.12 - PCSO Quinn and a member of South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue (SYFR) have today been on the estate conducting high visibility proactive patrols of the area on their bikes. These patrols were conducted from 8am-5pm.

13.01.12 - Staff from the SNT have been paying attention to the car park area throughout their shift pattern of 1pm-10pm.

14.01.12 - The NRT have been in the area patrolling today. During these patrols at approx 2.25am three vehicles were spotted in the Keepmoat stadium, one of which was witnessed completing hand break turns in the car park. The registrations of these vehicles were recorded and enquiries are on going. 

15.01.12 - The NRT have been in the area monitoring the car park ensuring that no one was driving in a inappropriate manner. The was done at approx 3am

17.01.12 - PCSO Quinn has been and spoken to one of the businesses that has been experiencing problems with the cars and noise nuisance from the car park. They told PCSO Quinn that the problems in the car park had calmed down and that they had only reported one incident recently. It is thought that the cold weather may have helped in this reduction of incidents.

25.01.12 - It was decided at the PACT meeting that due to the continuing problems in the area and the ongoing work that is happening that this would remain as a PACT priority for another month.

26.01.12 - PCSO Quinn has today called into a couple of the businesses in the area to speak to them about the issues that they had raised on Saturday. PCSO Quinn also later returned to the area later in the evening with PCSO Murray and conducted a high visibility pro-active patrol of the area.

29.01.12 - SYFR have this evening been on the car park and engaging with the drivers. They brought down their Subarau sports car and media van. This is used to engage and educate your drivers about road safety.

08.02.12 - All staff from your SNT have been conducting patrols of the area today during their shift pattern of 1pm-10pm. No offenders were seen during this time but it thought that this is due to the poor  weather conditions.

09.02.12 - PCSO Bennett and Rodgers have this evening been passed the car parks near the Keepmoat stadium. During this patrol they engaged with drivers who were parked in the car park. They did identify themselves as previously using the car park on Gliwice Way. They were advised what would happen if they were identified as causing ASB in the same manner as that had been occurring previously on Gliwice Way. Two other cars were also refused entry to the car park and moved on by officers.

10.02.12 - All staff from your SNT have been conducting patrols of the area today during their shift pattern of 1pm-10pm. No offenders were seen during this time but it thought that this is due to the poor  weather conditions.

South Yorkshire fire and Rescue attended at the Vue car park to speak with the youths in vehicles to educate them regarding the consequences of dangerous and inconsiderate driving.

08.04.12 - Two cars were seized and removed from the car park this evening due to the manner of their driving  (Adm 172) One driver was also issued a warning in relation to his manner of driving (Adm 171) The NRT have also been patrolling the area to advise drivers about their driving skills where appropriate.

During this operation 1 fixed penalty was issued  as well as three verbal warnings. Two speed awareness courses were also issued to drivers after being spoken to about  the manner of their driving.

15.04.12 - PCSS Featherstone, have today changed  their shift to work today. During today they have been patrolling  the car parks and the surrounding area until 9pm. Two fixed penalty notices were also issued by officers for parking offences.

18.04.12 - The NRT have been conducting pro-active patrols of the area today to monitor the issues that have been raised.

 19.04.12 - PCSO Quinn and Butterfield tonight responded to a call from the Premier Inn of cars revving their engines in the car park. PC Fisher also responded to the call and officers remained in the area for approx 30minutes.  No offences were seen to be committed, during this time.

On 12 May at 20:10 hours, Premier Inn, Cheswold Car Park, Herten Way, Lakeside.  Cars driving very dangerously in a public place where adults / children are walking around and other cars are using the car park.  Officers observed a blue Vauxhall Astra  and black Peugeot 306  driving at excessive speed and narrowly missing one before they parked. Officers believe the driver of this vehicle was causing alarm / harassment / distress to other car park users and pedestrians. Instruct PCSO's to serve 171's & Update SNT

 

On 12 May at 21:00 hours, Premier Inn, Cheswold Car Park, Herten Way, Lakeside.  Car seen driving very dangerously in a public place where adults / children are walking around and other cars are using the car park.  Officers observed a white Vauxhall Astra Estate  driving at excessive speed around the car park and braking heavily causing the tyres to screech. Officers believe the driver of this vehicle was causing alarm / harassment / distress to other car park users and pedestrians.  Instruct PCSO's to serve a 171 & Update SNT

 

On 12 May at 21:05 hours, Premier Inn, Cheswold Car Park, Herten Way, Lakeside.  Car seen driving very dangerously in a public place where adults / children are walking around and other cars are using the car park.  Officers observed a silver Vauxhall Astra set off driving at excessive speed causing the wheels to spin, then left the car park. Officers believe the driver of this vehicle was causing alarm / harassment / distress to other car park users and pedestrians.  Instruct PCSO's to serve a 171 & Update SNT

 

On 12 May at 21:30 hours, Premier Inn, Cheswold Car Park, Herten Way, Lakeside.  Car seen driving very dangerously in a public place where adults / children are walking around and other cars are using the car park.  Officers observed a blue Peugeot 206 driving at excessive speed in straight lines from one side of the car park to the other and back again. The car then braked sharply causing the tyres screech. Officers believe the driver of this vehicle was causing alarm / harassment / distress to other car park users and pedestrians. Instruct PCSO's to serve a 171 & Update SNT

13.05.12 - NRT Patrols from 2148hrs. 

On 13 May at 21:48 hours, Premier Inn, Cheswold Car Park, Herten Way.  Car seen driving very dangerously in a public place where adults / children are walking around and other cars are using the car park.  Officers observed a silver BMW  driving at excessive speed in straight lines from one side of the car park to the other and back again. The car then braked sharply causing the tyres screech before exiting the car park. Officers believe the driver of this vehicle was causing alarm / harassment / distress to other car park users and pedestrians.  PCSOs to serve a 171 & Update SNT

16.05.12 - All staff from your SNT have been conducting patrols of the area today during their shift pattern of 1pm-10pm. Also Speed Camera was used on Gliwice Way between 1500-1600hrs. Seven people stopped and advised for speeding.
