You said: 

Through consultation in Pact meetings, Tara meetings and incidents recorded we have identified nuisance behaviour from local youths causing quality of life issues for those living on the estate.

Whilst the problems being caused are not significant in them selves, put togther in this area they cause concern to local residents.

We did: 

August 2011

The Officers have secured several good results with one of the local youths causing issues in that they were sent to a detention centre for 8 months. Whilst not wanting this sort of action for the offenders, it shows that there are real consequences for their actions. On the whole reports now to the Police have reduced significantly

July 2011

The team have completed further patrols in the area. Using the council NRT team. As a result of the Alliance project at Highfields, this has allowed extra patrols and diversionairy activities in the area.

June 2011

Sine our last entry there has been a significat decline in the number of calls recieved with regards to nuisance or anti-social behaviour. Although there are still some ongoing issues these are in hand with our partner agencys.

May 2011

Along with St Leger we have started joint patrols in the area. We have liaised with Youth Services and yos in relation to individuals in the area.

We have already arrested and processed one 10 year old for a common assault on another youth. We have also embarked on an engagement and education process with local children and youths.

April 2011

We have conducted extra patrols with the help of the council Neighbourhood Response Team.

Pc Setterfield the local Police Officer now has the use of a specially designed mountain bike to aid his patrolling of the area.

The local Safer Neighbourhood Team are working with the local Social Services in indentifying families and children in the area that need a little more "assistance" through interagency working
