Parking Issues at the Shops on the Great North Road, Woodlands
Parking Enforcment Officers have been contacted and they will be making dedicated patrols in the area.
Extra patrols by foot officers have taken place. So far no parking offences have been witnessed.
Traffic Enforcement Officers have been requested and an update about thier actions will be forth coming

During this month 4 Council patrols for this stretch of shops were made. No parking issues were identified. The SNA staff pass these shops on a daily basis, during which no offences were disclosed
2nd December
Council traffic enforcement officers have patrolled the area. And there were no parking problems identified during this time

22nd December
Due to the xmas campaign monitoring vehicles of xmas shoppers passing attention has been given to vehicles outside the shop front and nothing obvious has been found.
Parking issues on Great North Road, Woodlands
Cars are parking on the yellow lines and obstructing the views of other road users and potential hazard to pedestrians

Regular patrols of the shop fronts and advise given to drivers seems to have eased the problems. Local SNT officers and Council Enforcement officers will continue to make regular passing patrols during the coming weeks.
8th February 2012
During the afternoon patrols 2 local vehicles were seen parked on junctions which were causing partial obstructions. The owners were advised and the vehicles were made to move, there will be no second chance.
15th February 2012
During patrols by both Police and council enforcement officers, no traffic offences were observed.
27th February 2012
During recent patrols no vehicles were were observed causing any problems.
