11/11/2010 – Council have patrolled Baxtergate checked all licenses of which were all in order.
12/11/2010 – Acting Police Sergeant Chadwick circulated e-mail to Police personnel of the procedure regarding dealing with street traders.
14/11/10 – Area patrolled during the Remembrance Day parade. No issues.

25/11/10 – It was discussed at today’s PACT meeting that this would remain a Priority until the next PACT meeting.
29/11/10 – Information from the Council that Baxtergate was checked and there was no street traders seen.
30/11/10 – Street Traders operation carried out by Police but due to the weather, there were only 2 traders. The traders were advised regarding street trading legislation and subsequently left the area.
Update 11/12/10 from the Police – Operation Accolade 2 involves high visibility patrols on Town Centre including the South Yorkshire Police display bus being deployed on Baxter Gate. The bus is staffed by PCSOs and other multiagency partners i.e. Council and SY Fire and Rescue. Whilst on the display bus, Baxter Gate is patrolled frequently and street traders dealt with proactively. So far the bus has been utilised 5 times and will continue throughout December. Council Enforcement Officer and also monitoring street traders closely.
14/12/10 – Patrols in Baxtetgate area – several traders spoken to – no issues. More infomation from Tutor Unit that 1 male arrested for illeagal street trading. Seized bags of tobacco, trading standards now dealing with male.

20/1/11 – Reports of HOT – DOG seller trading on Baxter Gate. Officers attended and advised the male. The male was directed to leave the Town Centre.

22 / 1/11 - The area was patrolled by council staff and PCSOs, no issues.
25/1/11 – Area patrolled by the SNT no issues.
26 /1/11 - The area was patrolled by the SNT, no further reports of the Hot Dog sellers since his removal from lastweek.
27/01/11 - At todays PACT meeting PC Lindley gave an update for this priority and it will no longer be a PACT priority.
