At tonights PACT meeting it was decided that street drinking and antisocial behaviour in the area of Market Place Town Centre would be become a PACT priority.

PCSO’s Artley and Kemble patrolled area 1 male arrested for assault. Alcohol confiscated and 3 Sec 27 notices given.

PCSS Featherstone patrolled the area at 1.55pm and confiscated 2 x cans of strong lager from a group of street drinkers,
PCSS Featherstone and PCSO Quinn patrolled the area at 8.40pm and confronted a large group of street drinkers. 6 cans of strong lager in total confiscated

Positive feedback given by Market traders in respect of todays patrolling. No issues at all reported in respect of ASB/Street drinking in Market Place.

Patrols of Market Place no groups noted during trading times, however group of street drinkers moved on from Market after trading. 3 cans of lager confiscated.
Positive feedback given by Market traders in respect of patrols. They are noticing a marked decrease in street drinking in the area.
