what issues concerned you most in your area
At today’s residential PACT meeting it was discussed that the Council have an issue with environmental such as bin and rubbish dumping in the area and Don, Brooke and Church Way. It was therefore decided that this would become a PACT PRIORITY.
29/07/10 – Following PACT meeting spoke to resident who mentioned the overhanging / growing plants at the rear of Don St – To check with Council.
03/08/10 – High visibility patrols within the area by Council Safety Officers. Addresses visited regarding wheelie bins beings left out letters delivered.
05/08/10 – Area patrolled by PCSO Cooke and Kemble, leaflet drop was carried out on Don Street and Church Way regarding the priority and SNT contact numbers.
06/08/10 – am – Council have visited the area and spray-painted any wheelie bins with house numbers to enable identification of residents that leave their bins out.
06/08/10 – pm – Area patrolled by PCSO Cooke and Artley, leaflet drop carried out on Brooke Street. – No issues.
09/08/10 – Following reported by Doncaster Council Safety Warden –bags of rubbish (no evidence), rear of Brooke Street nappies, bags of rubbish, split bags of rubbish, chair, cardboard all reported for removal and a request for Street Cleanse for the Street.
09/08/10 – Council Warden checked during afternoon and visited an address to a property on Churchway regarding their wheelie bin being left out.
10/08/10 – Check of Don St and rubbish had not been cleared and tried to visit an address but no answer.
12/08/10 – All area patrolled by PCSOs no issues of note.
13/08/10 – Don Street and Brook Street both have been requested for a street cleanse in addition Council have reported x 6 bags of rubbish dumped Don Street.
17/08/10 – By Council Don Street Fixed Penalty Notice issued to resident on Don Street and Street cleanse requested for Don Street and TRANSCO site. Door knock on Don Street conducted.
19/08/10 – Update from Council, x 3 second warning letters delivered to Don Street. X1 second warning letter delivered to Brooke St resident, x1 second warning letter delivered to resident of Churchway.
20/08/10 – Update from council x 1 fixed penalty notice issued to resident on Don Street and follow phone call made to TRANSCO regarding clearing the area.
20/08/10 – Council have spoken to TRANSCO further and have agreed on clearing the land at rear of Don Street. After the clear Council will monitor any rubbish that is dumped and take relevant action.
26/08/10 - It was decided at todays meeting that this priority would be closed.
