Inconsiderate use of Pedal Cycles in and around Doncaster Town Centre footpaths and pedestrian Zones
After numerous complaints from members of the public it was decided that this issue would be addressed by the Town Centre SNT
PCSS Featherstone has liaised with South Yorkshire Police's communications team to get some small cards printed that can be handed out to these cyclists advising them of the law and the consequences.
Amy Lindsay from Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council has been contacted regarding getting some signs devised and made explaining about the cycling issues. These will hopefully be up on posts around the Town Centre after the New Year.
21.11.12 - Approximately 40 cyclist have been stopped and advised this week within the town Centre for riding on the footpath and riding within the pedestrian Zone between the hours of 10 am and 4.30pm

26.01.12 -- It was decided at the PACT meeting this afternoon that this priority would be discharged as there appears to be a noticeable decrease in the amount of persons using pedal cycles on footpaths within the Town Centre. However, PCSO’s will continue to monitor and deal with any further incidents accordingly.
