Anti Social Behaviour and nuisance motor bikes on Windsor Street, Grange Crescent and Chapel Lane
Two focused operations have taken place recently against nuisance motorcycling. Vehicles have been seized and a number of warning notices have been given out. If anyone receiving a notice is seen (or their vehicle is seen) driving or being driven in an inconsiderate manner, the vehicle being used will be seized.
A further operation is planned for the near future.
Two operations have now taken place - Operation Bala and Operation Astonish. People have been arrested, bikes seized, warning notices given out and quite a bit of new intelligence obtained. Updated - 1st August 2010
Complaints have been received regarding motorbikes being ridden in back gardens. The occupants of these addresses have been visited, advised and landlords have been contacted with regard to sending their clients letters regarding possible breaches of tenancy.
Three males were arrested attempting to 'hotwire' a scooter in this PACT area. The scooter had been reported stolen earlier that day.
On Tuesday 7th September 2010 two males were stopped on Grange crescent, Thurnscoe. They were both on PY80 off road motorbikes whilst on the road, they were both issued with warning notices under the Police Reform Act.
