Section 30
Following continued anti-social behaviour problems and consultation with residents at a public meeting, South Yorkshire Police in close partnership with Sheffield City Council have imposed a Section 30 on the Littledale, Greenwood, Bowden Wood and Halsall Estates. The Section 30 forms part of the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003, which prevents group of 2 or more people behaving in an anti-social manner. Between the hours of 2100 and 0600, persons under the age of 16 may be taken home.
The Section 30 is to be in place from 24 July 2010, until 24 October 2010.
Between the 24 July 2010 and 2 September 2010, 69 people have been dispersed with 7 arrests for breaching the Section 30.
