NUISANCE MOTOR BIKES IN CUDWORTH SNT. NAMELY, CUDWORTH COMMON, BELLE GREEN LANE, DARFIELD ROAD,BRIERLEY ROAD, MOOR LANE, MONUMENT DRIVE, THE RISE, BURNTWOOD LANE, CHURCH STREET.
17th March PCSO Byron conducted foot patrol Moor Lane area nothing of note. Also PCSO Duggan conducted 1 hour foot patrol Cudworth Common and Darfield Road. Numerous mambers of the public liased with nothing of note.
18th March PCSO Cooley conducted 1 1/2hrs patrol of Cudworth Common. Also PCSO Hurst conducted patrols Shafton/Brierley and Cudworth area. A member of the public reported problems on Saturday lunchtime on the railway embankment behind Shafton Park.
21st March PCSO Hurst conducted patrols Monument Drive.
22nd March PCSO Fowler conducted patrols Monument drive and 3 seperate off road bikes made off from him. Enquiries to continue regarding ID of offender.
22nd March PCSO Duggen reports 1 off road bike made off from him on Cudworth common.
23rd March PC Reis conducted foot patrol Hillside and Cudworth Common. Also PCSO Fowler reported 2 bikes seen on the Common.
24th March PCSO Byron reports 2 off roaders made off from her.
25th March PCSO Hurst delivered diaries to residents on Monument Drive in order that they can record infromation regarding nuisance bikes. Also PCSO Byron reported 1 bike made off from her she identified offender and he has been reported on summons. Also PCSO Fowler conducted patrols Moor Lane information suggests Sunday afternoons are the worst for off road bikes. Also PCSO Duggan conducted patrols Cudworth Common and interacted with members of the public. PCSO Cooley conducted foot patrol Hillside, Monument drive area nothing of note.
28th March PCSO Cooley/Duggan patrolled behind SASH and Cudworth Common. Also PCSO Byron spoke with farmers Moor Lane who again reported main problems on Sunday afternoon.
29th March PCSO Duggan patroled Cudworth Common. Also PC Cunningham/PS Smith arrested a local youth supect theft motor bike and dangerous driving as he rode the bike at PCSOs in the woods off Engine Lane. The vehicle was seized.
30th March PCSO Fowler seized a motorbike as the rider made off on foot from Engine Lane. 3 Other riders were identified to be dealt with later.
30th March PCSO Duggan warned a quad rider under The Police Reform Act regarding nusance riding in Cudworth area.
31st March PC Mackie /Cunningham saw 4 males on off road bikes Cudworth area. 1 male identified and reported for no insurance.
31st March PCSO Byron/Fowler identified 4 people riding off road bikes who will be reported on summons.
1st April PCSO Hurst sat to the rear of Monument Drive to no gain. Further ASB diaries handed to residents. Also PCSO Byron patrolled Moor Lane.
2nd April PCSOs conducetd Operation Brighton regarding off road bikes, all local farms that have recently been targeted were contacted but no issues reported for that particular day. 1 photograph taken of rider on a bike which refused to stop for PCSO; published to SNT for ID. Also 2 hours patrol Cudworth Common.
4th April PC Cunningham had an off road biker make off from him in Grimethorpe and one in Cudworth. No ID.
5th April PCSO Duggan patrolled Cudworth Common.
7th April PCSO Hurst conducted foot patrols Monument Drive and Cudworth Common.
7th April PCSO Duggan/Cooley patrolled Cudworth Common and Darfield Rd. PCSO Byron patrolled Monument Drive.
9th April PC Frisby reported on summons loacl youth identified for causing vehicle nuisance.
11th April PCSO Cooley conducted patrols Cudworth Common.
12th April - 2 local youths were warned under the Police Reform Act regarding riding motorcycles in an anti-social manner in the Grimethorpe area.
13th April - PCSO Hurst and Dundas seized a motorcycle from a local youth in the Grimethorpe area who had been warned on a number of occasions.
14th April - Local youth made off on a motorbike from PCSO. PC Frisby located the offender and reported him on summons.
19th April - Local persons on motorcycles failed to stop for PCSO's. They were located and reported on summons for offences by PC Frisby and PC Cunningham.

Daily patrols in identified hot spot areas.
Photos taken of offenders where they could not be stopped, for ID purposes.
27/04 - Local youth warned police reform act in the Cudworth area.
03/05 - Fixed penalty ticket issed for failing to wear helmet, local youth from the Cudworth area.
09/05 - Motorbike seized and another was recovered as it was suspected stolen from local youth in the Cudworth area.
22/05 - Officers attended a report of a nuisance motorbike in the Grimethorpe area. Local youth located having fallen off his bike and broken his leg and several bones in his foot.
Every other weekend mini bike ops have been conducted - local farmers and repeat callers contacted to locate nuisance bikes.
4 bike operations are planned for over the summer utilising SYP off-road bike officers and mounted officers.
Prohibition signs to be distributed over the SNT are hotspots and attached to trees and lampposts. The signs will count as a first warning under the Police Reform Act and the bikes can be seized.
Update from 25th May 2011
Every other weekend mini bike ops have been conducted - local farmers and repeat callers contacted to locate nuisance bikes.
Each tour of duty SNT working a foot or bike patrol is conducted of the PACT identified (hotspot areas).
25 May - PCSO Byron seized a motor bike from a male in the Grimethorpe area, the bike was stolen from the West Yorkshire area.
25th May - warning under the Plice reform Act distributed by PCSO Hurst.
6th June - local youth failed to stop in his motor bike for PCSO Hurst and will be reported on summons for this offence.
8th June - Wari
ing under the Police reform act distributed by PCSO Hurst in the Cudworth area to a local youth.
10th june - Operation Braddock took place incompany with off road polic motor bikes. Unfortunatley the weather was horrendous and due to torrential rain no motor bikes were seen at all.
There are a further 3 operations planned.
18th June - the snt have been liasing with Park services in order to tackle local youths riding in park areas, specifically Carlton Marsh.
The Prohibition signs are still awaited that are to be distributed over the SNT area hotspots. When they arrive they will be attached to trees and lampposts. The signs will count as a first warning under the Police Reform Act and the bikes can be seized without a first warning.
The SNT has received an email from residents on Monument Drive, Brierley which is a hotspot area, thanking staff for all the attention and patrols given to that area.
Statistics show a reduction in nuisance vehicle complaints.
24th June - A warning under the Police Reform Act distributed by PCSO Byron in the Brierley Road area to a local male.
25th June - Two warnings under the Police Reform Act distributed by PCSO Cooley in the Grimethorpe area to local youths.

21st July - Bike operation completed in the areas highlighted. Three bikes were spotted but unable to stop. All officers provided reassurance in the community.
23rd July - Cudworth Snt offers patrolled the highlighted PACT areas. No bikes were seen at this time.
26th July - Bike op carried out on with Road Policing Group off road bikers. In total 3 off road bikes seen but unable to position RPG officers quickly enough to stop the bikes. RPG officers wore Hi Vis to provide reassurance to local community.
28th July - Cudworth Snt offers patrolled the highlighted PACT areas. No bikes were seen at this time.

31st July - South Yorkshire Police received a report of off road bikes in fields near Cudworth bypass at approx 1430hrs. Nothing was seen. At 2000hrs on 31/7/11 a male was stopped pushing a green monster energy off road bike in Grimethorpe. The male was advised.
1st August - Cudworth Snt offers patrolled the highlighted PACT areas. No bikes were seen at this time.
2nd August - Cudworth Snt offers patrolled the highlighted PACT areas. No bikes were seen at this time.
3rd August -South Yorkshire Police received a report of a scooter riding with three males on riding around in the Cudworth area. Officers attended and nothing was seen.
4th August - South Yorkshire Police received a report of a scooter riding in a inconsiderate manner in the Dorothy Hyman Stadium. One male was issued with a warning for riding in this manner.
5th August - An intelligence report was submitted onto the Police national data base with information in regards to off road motor cycles being stored at an address in Shafton.
