1-5 Elm Green Lane , Conisbrough is a large house converted into private flats. It is believed that there is anti social behaviour within this locality spilling onto The Oval , Conisbrough & people are frequenting this location to deal controlled drugs. It was decided at the PACT meeting on Tuesday 8th March 2011 that this would become one of the PACT priorities.
Most issues start in the evening time after 6 pm into the early hours of the morning with the latest report being 4 am.

The Trojan bus was used this evening in which police officers , PCSO's and Special Constables drive the bus routes around the local area and check for any anti social behaviour. £50.00 fixed penalty tickets were issued to enforce the DPPO which prohibits street drinking.The Mill Peace was patrolled in which there were a group of five youths drinking the alcohol was confiscated. The park off Windmill Avenue , Conisbrough was also checked there was a group of 5 youths on the MUGA . There was a strong smell of cannabis and one male ran from this area. No drugs were found. the town centre in Conisbrough appeared to be quiet although three persons were also given £50.00 tickets for drinking on Elm Green Lane.

Patrols made by police cyclist this evening 4 males were playing football in the library car park and they were directed to the playing fields. The Oval was quiet this evening with no issues to report. The Conisbrough town centre did have a large group of youths on the shop fronts. They were spoken to, none were drinking or causing any other issues other than being in a large group which can be perceived as an issue to members of the public.

The landlord at Elm Green Lane has served notice on one of his residents due to their behaviour whilst outside of the property which has caused issues with a local resident.
Also a report of males smoking cannabis at the Mill Piece in the morning the report resulted in 3 males being found and a quantity of cannabis being recovered.

Police patrols have been conducted throughout today Pc Scarrow has been in the town centre on his pushbike whilst Pc Cook has been on mobile patrol in the town centre. Pc Scarrow has also been checking on the adjoining streets just off the town centre including The Oval & Elm Green Lane.
The Landlord at Elm Green Lane has served notice on one occupant and they have left the premises and he's handed a written warning to another.

A male was arrested for a theft of 8 bottles of wine from an off licence in Conisbrough the wine was recovered from a visitor at Elm Green Lane he was arrested and charged to Doncaster Magistrates court.

In the early hours of the morning 3 males were disturbed attacking the side of a flat. The local resident disturbed the males and Police arrived searching the local area however were unable to locate the offenders. Looking at the property from the outside it appears a gas pipe had been pulled from the wall. This was made safe by the gas company.
Local beat manager provided high profile cycle patrols along Elm Green Lane and The Oval throughout the afternoon, as a result of his patrols the rider of a quad bike was issued with a warning letter.

Whilst conducting an estate walk through The Oval with St Ledger Homes a male was identified shouting foul and abusive language. Due to his lack of previous dealings with Police he was issued with an £80 Fixed Penalty Ticket for Disorder.

Police officers were conducting high profile patrols in the Elm Green Lane and Oval area. A strong smell of Cannabis was found and as a result enquiries were made with several local properties. As a final result an extensive Cannabis Factory was discovered and subsequently a male was arrested for cultivation of these drugs the drugs being valued between £17,000 - £20,000.

On Thursday Night into the early hours of Friday Morning there were several calls received about a nuisance female who was drunk and causing issues in the street. Police attended and located the female, due to her demeanour she was removed from the area and it was identified she was on tag with curfew conditions which is monitored and reported by a private company.

Police officers provided high profile patrols throughout this evening . A visit was made to 1-5 Elm Green Lane , Conisbrough all the communal areas were patrolled with the support of the landlord. The building was very quiet with only one resident visible. Patrols then continued over into The Oval where two key addresses were visited. The Oval was also very quiet , although the police officers were able to speak to local residents re their concerns on the estate. The park at the end of the Oval was checked. The patrols then went into the Conisbrough town centre.

A drugs warrant was executed on The Oval which resulted in a person being arrested for possession of heroin and cannabis which resulted in this person being charged and bailed to Doncaster Magistrates Court.

The Oval Tara was held today in Conisbrough where several issues were raised firstly the drug dealing on The Oval which I informed the attendees that this would be continued monitored and positive action would continue to be taken. The local housing officer will be looking into any breached of tenancy and she will be supported fully by the police.

The Conisbrough beat manager arrested a male for theft within the Conisbrough town centre. The male was also in breach of his tag and he was put to the magistrates court with an application for him to be remanded due to his offending within our community.

The local SNT have been conducting night patrols due to the number of lead thefts which we have been experiencing over the past few months a male was arrested in possession of lead in the early hours of the morning. He made evry effort to get away throwing the lead he was carrying at the police officer who found him.

There has been a report of noise nuisance coming from 1-5 Elm Green Lane , Conisbrough where one of the residents is playing his music too loud in the daytime to the annoyance of the local residents. The local Safer Neighbourhood Team have been in contact with the landlord who has stated that he will take immediate and positive action against this resident. The Environmental Health Officers are also monitoring the situation. PCSO's have made patrols of this area this evening and the noise had stopped further patrols will be made this week.

A substantial cannabis set up was found on Station Road early this year the male who was responsible has just answered his bail and he has been charged with Production and he is attending court for this offence.

There have been patrols carried over the weekend to monitor this area and it has appeared quiet apart from a report of loud music in the day coming from Elm Green Lane. There has also been a number of late night patrols caried out by the SNT to reduce the number of lead thefts in Conisbrough. This has reduced the number of recorded crimes for these type of thefts but whilst these patrols are being conducted we are able to check for any anti social behaviour , street drinking and also any other crimes.

A motorbike was stolen overnight from The Oval the bike was spotted by one of the the local PCSO's whilst he was out on patrol the male was identified who was riding it and he was subsequently arrested and the bike recovered.

Criminal damage has recently been an area of challange for Conisbrough and Denaby. However, statistical analysis has shown great improvement over the last few weeks. In comparison to the first 2 weeks of January 2012, incidents of criminal damage are down 56%, only 7 incidents, where as previously there was 16.
Local police officers have recently detected and arrested 2 offenders of criminal damage in the Conisbrough/Denaby area. These arrests were linked to offences around the Burcroft Hill area and at Stathes Walk.
In recent weeks, several plans were put into place to target the criminal damage issues. Teams of "specials" officers were used on 19th/21st January in operations targetting the criminal damage hotspots of Conisbrough and Denaby. Confirmation has been given from the Specials of continuing support, with further future operations planned.
We have also liased with our partners at the Neighbourhood Response Team. Their live tasking has incorporated the criminal damage hotspot areas of Conisbrough/Denaby, and their extra shifts/patrols have been invaluable. Again,this support is continued.
Doncaster West has recently secured funding for diversionary activites in Conisbrough/Denaby. This will run over a 6 week period, its aim to reduce incidents of ASB and Criminal damage.

Over the weekend,3 males were detained in Denaby.Officers were responding to reports of intruders at the building site at Hesley Court and found the males stealing building equipment.All three males were taken into custody.
On 18th January local officers took part in 'Operation Dunlin'.This forcewide operation targetted wildlife crime i.e poaching,coarsing etc.All rural and farmland areas of West were patrolled by vehicle and on foot regularly throughout the evening.
On Sunday 29th January,SNT officers deviated their shifts to conduct a motorbike operation covering Mexborough,Conisbrough and Denaby.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team deviated from their normal shift pattern to work from 3pm until 0200 hrs to try to combat the anti-social beheaviour and criminal damage in the Conisbrough area. Regular mobile and foot patrols of Elm Green Lane and The Oval were carried out throughout the shift. Several groups of youths liaised with but no serious incidents of note.

Whilst out on patrol in Conisbrough,officers stopped a male from street drinking in the town centre.The male's details were obtained and the alcohol poured away.
Throughout this week,PCSO Crossley and PC Kelly are visiting Station rd junior and infant school.The topics they are discussing with the children are transport safety,i.e wearing seatbelts and safely using public transport.
Whilst out on mobile patrol in Conisbrough,officers Eley and Cook detained a male using an off road motorbike.The male was a disqualified driver therefore held no licence,mot,tax or insurance.The officers seized the bike and, as this male is a prolific offender,the offences reported on summons and the male remanded.

Whilst out on mobile patrol,officer Eley came across a stripped down Landrover Defender in the wooded area opposite Archers Way.After further enquiries,it transpired the vehicle had been recently stolen from an address in Mexborough.The vehicle was recovered and the owner informed.

Throughout the last week, Operation Gateway has been ongoing in Conisbrough. Here, local officers have worked closely with Inspectors from the Stagecoach bus company in order to prevent the use of fraudulant bus passes and tickets.
Over the bank holiday weekend patrols of local hotspot areas have still been carried out by the NRT. Officers have stopped several groups of youths on the streets of Conisbrough that have been seen to be drinking alcohol. The alcohol has been poured away,details taken and DPPO advice given.
Local SNT officers today came across an abandoned vehicle on Park Road. The orange coloured van was recovered and sent to scenes of crimes officers as it was believed to have stolen earlier today from a sneak in burglarly.
