what issues concerned you most in your area
Drug dealing and anti social behaviour committed by groups of youths in an evening around the flats.
This was raised at the PACT meeting on the 7th June 2011 where the attending members of the community voted thuis as a new PACT priority.
This area has been part of Neighbourhood Alliance for the past month in which there have been several drugs warrants executed within Harlington Court where drugs have been recovered. There have been numerous joint ventures between the Police, St Ledger Homes and SY Fire and Rescue. There has been the youth engagement at Harlington Court where young persons were involved in the artwork on the old garage site. A Domehawk camera has been erected on the craggs estate to provide reassurance to the local residents and an opportunity to identify any antisocial behaviour or criminal activity. The payback team have also been active around the flats providing litter picks and within this time skips have been provided for local residents to get rid of their unwanted waste.

High profile Police patrols provided throughout the evening, a report of a disturbance was made whereby a group of youths were identified. These males were located and dealt with through the ABC+ Scheme.
Report to the Police of a Domestic incident taking place, on arrival of the Police all parties refused to co-operate.

After reports of youths causing damage in the local area a pursuit was made of 3 offenders. Two of whom were located near to the scene and one later detained at his home address after being identified. One male is to be issued with a reprimand for his actions on the night.

A drugs warrant was executed on Craggs Road , Denaby by the Doncaster drugs team this was in conjunction with a number of other warrants and two persons were arrested for cannabis cultivation and abstracting electricity.

SNT staff have been patrolling Denaby due to the number of reported thefts of lead from around the houses and flats. Pc Black and PCSO Crossley disturbed a local male stealing lead and after a foot chase detained him in possession of a quantity of lead .

Drug dealing is still evident in the local area and the Local Safer Neighbourhood Team working in conjunction with the housing officer are taking action to stop this. Any resident involved in anti social or criminal behaviour is in danger of loosing their accommodation.

SNT staff identified a local male who was wanted for failing to comply with his community punishment he has been arrested and put before the Magistrates to explain why he's not been complying with his previous punishment.

Two males were found on the roof of St Albans church roof they were both arrested in the early hours of the morning and subsequently charged with this offence and bailed to Doncaster Magistrates court.
There have been night patrols throught this week by the SNT to combat the theft of metal and there has been a significant reduction in crimes committed but staff are also addressing any other issues they find such as anti social behaviour and street drinking.

The night patrols have continued on the Crags estate and it has been quiet , one of problem flats has now been vacated by the occupant and there is further action by the local housing officer to bring a number of tenants in line. The SNT have been visiting the flats where there have been issues and warning the occupants about their behaviour. There have been numerous patrols over this weekend on the estate a stolen moped has been recovered and two males arrested on suspcion of theft of it. There was also an accident where the driver was arrested for drink driving.

There was a burglary of a commercial premises at Denaby the alarm activated and three males were seen to run from the premises. Police officers checked the building to find a fourth offender still inside all males were local youths.

The PACT meeting was held this afternoon at Denaby the next meeting will be at the Ivanhoe Centre , 7 pm on the 8th November 2011. The public who attend this meeting have decided to keep this as a priority for the following month.

Over the last couple of weeks regular patrols have been made of this pact priority area and so far there have been no reports of drug dealing or anti social behaviour. There has also been nothing witnessed by our officers whilst they have been conducting patrols.
A male was arrested in the area after being spotted by a member of the public as being wanted for several offences, chase was given by SNT officers who were assisted by response officers and a dog handler the male was detained hiding up a tree on the industrial site off Eland Road.

There has been a 'test purchase' operation within Conisbrough where Doncaster Licensing visit 'off license' premises to see if they challenge young people who are sent in to buy alcohol. The test purchasing will continue over the festive period and from this operation of the eleven shops that were tested only one failed . If you go into your local off license and you think that the staff are serving to under age persons let us know.

Throughout December several reports were received regarding nusiance off road bikes on the Craggs area at Denaby. Whilst acting on these reports and conducting high visibility patrols of the area, Snt officers seized an off road pit bike. The youths riding it made good their escape therefore the bike was seized.

Reports of a small group of youths drinking on Tickhill Square.On the arrival of the NRT,the alcohol was seized,poured away and the youths moved on.
NRT attended at Woodlands way responding to reports of noise nusiance.A noise nusiance latter was given and all music turned off before the officers left.

Criminal damage has recently been an area of challange for Conisbrough and Denaby. However, statistical analysis has shown great improvement over the last few weeks. In comparison to the first 2 weeks of January 2012, incidents of criminal damage are down 56%, only 7 incidents, where as previously there was 16.
Local police officers have recently detected and arrested 2 offenders of criminal damage in the Conisbrough/Denaby area. These arrests were linked to offences around the Burcroft Hill area and at Stathes Walk.
In recent weeks, several plans were put into place to target the criminal damage issues. Teams of "specials" officers were used on 19th/21st January in operations targetting the criminal damage hotspots of Conisbrough and Denaby. Confirmation has been given from the Specials of continuing support, with further future operations planned.
We have also liased with our partners at the Neighbourhood Response Team. Their live tasking has incorporated the criminal damage hotspot areas of Conisbrough/Denaby, and their extra shifts/patrols have been invaluable. Again this support is continued.
Doncaster West has recently secured funding for diversionary activites in Conisbrough/Denaby. This will run over a 6 week period, its aim to reduce incidents of ASB and Criminal damage.

Over the weekend,3 males were detained in Denaby.Officers were responding to reports of intruders at the building site at Hesley Court and found the males stealing building equipment.All three males were taken into custody.
On 18th January local officers took part in 'Operation Dunlin'.This forcewide operation targetted wildlife crime i.e poaching,coarsing etc.All rural and farmland areas of West were patrolled by vehicle and on foot regularly throughout the evening.
On Sunday 29th January,SNT officers deviated their shifts to conduct a motorbike operation covering Mexborough,Conisbrough and Denaby.

The local Safer Neighbourhood Team deviated their shifts tonight to work from 3pm until 0200 hours to combat the anti-social behaviour/criminal damage in the Conisbrough area. Denaby and Conisbrough were patrolled at regular intervals throughout the shift and several youths liaised with. No serious incidents of note.

Local SNT Officers, Crossley and Eley apprehended a wanted male in the Denaby area. The male was wanted in connection with an assault which took place in October last year.

Whilst on patrol in Denaby, officers came across two males riding off road motorbikes on Denaby Craggs. Both males were stopped and spoken to with advice and warnings issued.

Officers from DMBC's Neighbourhood Response Team patrolled the Denaby area between the hours of 4pm and 5pm. They received complaints regarding youths hanging around the Harlington Court area. On arrival no one was seen and there was nothing to report at this time.

Whilst on patrol in Denaby, officers from Doncasters Neighbourhood Response Team stopped a male on Bolton Street. The male was seen drinking alcohol in the DPPO area. The alcohol was confiscated, the male advised and a warning letter issued.
In recent months, the CCTV camera on Craggs road has been broken. Funding has now been found and plans put into place to have the camera repaired.
At last nights PACT meeting, although crime trends have greatly reduced, it was agreed that the priority for Denaby would remain the same.

Yesterday afternoon officers from several departments were engaged with the fire service at the Earth Centre. Reports came in of a large fire, over 1 acre, which had been deliberatley set by 4 males. Local officers from the SNT, Task Force and the police helicopter crew gave chase to the males over the Earth Centre until all 4 males were detained.

Two warrants were executed today in the Denaby area. Local SNT officers worked closely with the RSPCA visiting two seperate addresses. Subsequently, two dogs and a large cannabis set up was recovered and two people arrested.
Officer Crossley recently stopped a scooter in Denaby. The scooter, although road worthy, was being ridden by two passengers, quite erratically, one without a helmet. When stopped the scooter was found to be without tax and was therefore recovered.

The Neighbourhood Response Team received reports of a nuisance motorbile being riden on the Craggs. They promptly attended the area, but there was no evidence of any vehicles being used on The Craggs at this time.

The local Safer Neighbourhood Team have worked a 1pm x 12 midnight on Friday and Saturday night covering Denaby and Conisbrough. Throughout these shifts Craggs Road and Harlington Court have been extensively patrolled. Several children were spoken to on Friday evening on Harlington Court regarding their behaviour and advised accordingly.

Whilst patolling around Denaby the Neighbourhood Response Team observed several males drinking in the Street. Officers spoke to the males and explained that Denaby was part of the DPPO area. Details of all the males were taken and the alcohol confiscated.

PCSO's Flavell and Dishman worked a 2pm x 10pm shift today covering all areas. Several reasurrance visits were made in the Denaby area regarding nuisance youths, and ASB. Two incidents were attended to on Wadworth Road at the Royal Pizza House where some criminal damage was carried out. Follow up visits are to be made to all these again during the next week by PCSO Crossley.
