Anti social behaviour, youth nuisance and drug misuse is occurring at Spital Hill.

We did: 

This priority will remain so throughout this month. It is a priority that requires a long term plan for enforcement, engagement and diversion.  In addition to the regular officers for your area, there have been extra resources in the area, including our Road Crime Unit, who specialise in vehicle offences and related crime.   • We continue increased the number of cycle, foot and mobile patrols in the locality
  • We have stop searched/accounted  people in the street
  • We have identified vehicles that are vulnerable and sent letters to the owners
  • We are working with our partners to clean up the area and taking part in walkabouts to highlight the problem areas
  • While patrolling the area, we have spoken to local shop keepers and security guards
  • Submitted Intelligence reports as a result of information received that may lead to other activity

Patrol Activity

  • We have stop and accounted/searched  people in the street
  • We have issued  tickets for various traffic related offences
  • We have issued Parking Advisory Notice’s
  • We have identified vulnerable vehicles and sent letters to the owners,
  • We continue to identify young people causing anti social behaviour and send letters to their parents (PAL Letter)   
  • We carry out regular parking operations to tackle problems at Osgathorpe mosque
  • We carry out regular parking operations to tackle problems at primary schools.
  • We have reported vehicles to the DVLA for having no road tax.
  • We issue warning to a person using a vehicle in a nuisance manner. We have seized vehicle for driving in an antisocial manner.  
  • We have street caution for possession of cannabis
  • We continue Operation KP Wider where we aim to reduce off road motorcycle incidents   
  • Where possible we will attempt to resolve disputes/incidents with engaging the offenders in Restorative Justice 
  • We carried out Test Purchase Operations, where, premises failed.
  • A Fixed Penalty Fine was given to a male for using foul and abusive language outside Whiteways school.
  • We executed a drugs warrant. Cannabis was recovered from the address and male was detained

  • We have attended the Firshill TARA meeting.
  • We attended the Firshill TARA annual general meeting
  • We attend a regular 'Drop In' session at the Sheffield Homes offices.
  • We hold a regular 'Drop In' at Firshill TARA.
  • We hold a regular 'Drop In' at Carwood TARA office.
  • Attended Tesco, Barnsley Rd on various occasions to interact with staff and public to raise awareness
  • We regularly visit Pitsmoor Adventure Playground.
  • We conduct regular visits to Pathways Children’s Home 
  • We regularly visit Byron Wood School
  • We regularly attend the Woodside project to engage with staff and residents.
