In response to your concerns, we have since the date of the priority increased the amount of patrols in both Crookes and Broomhill.
A specific operation was set up in relation to this, working with colleagues from Hillsborough.
Since July, officers have been patrolling on foot, cars and cycles, identifying 'vulnerable' properties where access could be easily gained. If a premise is identified, officers will:
> endeavour to speak with the occupant and advise
> where possible make the premise safe/secure
> submit a form through the letter box informing the occupant of the problem
