Anti-Social Behaviour (litter & under age drinking) in Spider Park between Crimicar Lane and Blackbrook Rd.
Weekends-in particular Friday/Saturday evenings between 7pm-Midnight
Between 16th & 26th August 2010, officers from the local team have been patrolling this area in a bid to reduce ASB, and also provide reassurance to residents and members of the community. Even though alot of the nusiance has occured mainly during evenings, passing attention will take place during the day whilst the school holidays are in place.
In view of the reduction of incidents, the MOCAM that was in place, has been removed.
On Friday 9th July, one youth-who was over 18yrs-was warned about drinking in front of minors and therefore had alcohol confiscated.
There has been a dramatic decline in numbers of youths at these locations over the past few weeks and those that have been present have ben well behaved and not been causing any problems.
Alcohol and the availability of it-in particular to young people-is a contributing factor to anti-social behaviour. Test purchase operations have been undertaken and have proved successful. Further ones will be carried out to reduce underage drinking.
Work is continuing within local schools through our CYPO (Children's and Young Persons Officer) to target, engage and steer young people away from causing anti-social behaviour.
Sheffield Futures are now working in the Fulwood area on Thursday evenings. This involves patrolling the locality, engaging with youngsters, and advising them on issues such as Healty Living & Street Work. Further information re this initiative can be obtained from Viky Bullock (Youth Worker) on 201 6627.
Both Sheffield Futures and Activity Sheffield are organising events in our area for the school holidays. For full deatils of these, log onto:

This Priority was reviewed at the P.A.C.T meeting on 26th August at 7pm, at St Vincent's Church, 40 Pickmere Rd Crookes. As a result of the drop in complaints and reduction in numbers of youths frequenting the area it was decided to remove this location as a P.A.C.T priority. It will however be given attention as part of routine patrols.
