Consumption of alcohol in a designated area. (Sparrow Park) Townend.
SECTION 12 - This a designated area to prevent the consumption of alcohol. All such areas are clearly signposted.
SECTION 12 POWERS - The Police and PCSO`s have the power to confiscate alcohol off any person or persons consuming alcohol in a SECTION 12 Area. Refusal to allow a Police Officer or PCSO to confiscate the alcohol could result in a £50 Fixed Penalty Notice being issued.

28/06/2010 - Sparrow Park - 2 x bottles of Budweiser confiscated form a male. Verbal warning given. - PCSO MAKINSON.
29/06/2010 - Sparrow Park - A large group of youths moved out of park for being rowdy and abusive. No alcohol present. - PCSO ARMITAGE.
02/07/2010 - Sparrow Park - 4 x Cans of lager and 1 x bottle of cider confiscated from a male. Verbal warning given. - PCSO MAKINSON.
