Over the past weeks there have been approximately 10 fires lit within the Quarry, which could prove to be a potential danger if they become large fires and get out of hand.
27.08.10 - At 2pm cycle patrols were carried out of Woodfield Quarry by DMBC. No signs of any fires being lit at this time. Cycle patrols were carried out again of the area at 6.30pm, where it was clear that some fires had been set alight. Neighbourhood Response Team informed of this and advised to patrol the area throughout the night and the weekend.
01.09.10 - Cycle patrols carried out of the area by DMBC staff at 10am.
02.09.10 - Patrols of the area carried out by DMBC staff - no evidence to suggest that any fires had been lit. Call received at 4pm today regarding kids climbing on work cabins and causing problems. PCSO Murray attended this incident and dealt with the youths accordingly.
03.09.10 - Cycle patrols carried out of Woodfield Quarry area by DMBC staff throughout their shift (8am x 5pm) There was nothing to report at this time.
06.09.10 - Patrols carried out by DMBC staff of Woodfield Quarry and surrounding area. No evidence to suggest any fires had been lit over the weekend.
07.09.10 - Patrols carried out of the Quarry throughout the day by CSW's. A group of youths were seen playing in the quarry. Youths liaised with but not causing any problems.
08.09.10 - Patrols of Quarry carried out by DMBC staff throughout their tour of duty. Youths were present in the Quarry but not causing any problems.
09.09.10 - Regular patrols carried out of the Quarry throughout the day by DMBC staff and PCSO's.
10.09.10 - SNT staff carried out regular patrols throughout their tour of duty. No workers were on site and no youths present.
13.09.10 - During patrols today youths were spoken to and advised.
14.09.10 - Various patrols carried out by DMBC staff and PCSO's. No problems encountered at this time.
15.09.10 - During patrols today youths were spoken to who were playing in The Quarry. They were not causing any problems.
16.09.10 - Regular foot and cycle patrols carried out throughout the day and evening.
17.09.10 - During patrols today it was noted that some branches had been set fire to at the top of the Quarry next to the barrier. Fire Brigade attended and dealt with incident. No one was seen in the area.
20.09.10 - Patrols carried out by DMBC Staff and PCSO's up until 9.30pm. No problems encountered at this time.
21.09.10 - Regular patrols carried out throughout tour of duty up until 9.30pm.
22.09.10 - Patrols conducted throughout the day and evening by DMBC staff and PCSO's.
23.09.10 - Today during patrols youths were engaged with by members of the SNT. They were causing no problems at this time.
24.09.10 - Regular patrols conducted by DMBC staff and PCSO's from the SNT.
27.09.10 - Youths engaged with today during regular patrols. They were advised regarding recent problems with fires in the area.
28.09.10 - Regular patrols conducted throughout tour of duty 8am x 5pm by DMBC staff and PCSO's.
29.09.10 - Foot and cycle patrols carried out by SNT staff during tour of duty 8am x 5pm. No problems encountered at this time.
30.09.10 - At this evening's PACT meeting it was agreed that this priority would now be discharged.
