We set this as a top 3 priority on the 08/10/09 as our records agree with your reports.

Research and development of the project is taking place.

Armthorpe SNT are to patrol and deal accordingly with issues identified using appropriate partners as necessary.

16/10/09

In conjunction with DMBC, we have cleared a large area being frequented by the youths of litter, including a large amount of cans and bottles. 

Arrangements have been made to remove a fallen tree which is being used as a makeshift seat.

High powered torches have been procured as well as night vison gear to assist officers while gaining access to the woods in darkness.

Patrols will be carried out and updates will follow.

17/10/09

Officers patrolled the area and found a group of 7 youths gathered around a small fire. The fire was extinguished, and some alcohol was poured away.

The youths were then moved on and dispersed.

23/10/09

Conducted patrol in the woods, due to reports from a member of public that a group of youths had again lit a small fire.

On arrival the group had dispersed and two names were given by members of the public who were in the area.

Names passed to ABC+ action and incident to be logged due to lack of evidence.

Fire was put out by officers.

27/10/09

Admin 171 Warning Notice (Section 59 Police Reform Act) issued by PCSO to a youth on an off road motorcycle.

30/10/09

Ongoing patrols by PC's / PCSO's within the area - No further reports of anti social behaviour.

11/11/09

Regular patrols of the woods and surrounding areas as part of the Operation Anticipate period this last week. The area has been and remains very quiet in terms of anti social behaviour reported or seen by officers.

03/12/09

Ongoing foot and cycle patrols of the area by Safer Neighbourhood Team PC's and PCSO's have found that there have been no further reports of anti social behaviour.

In light of this, the priority is to be closed and replaced.
