South Yorkshire Police have made a big step to ensure officers are out on the beat and not sat behind a desk’ by issuing front line staff with latest 21st century mobile technology.
Officers at Wombwell & Darfield SNT have now been issued with the latest Blackberry, which means they will spend less time in the police station and more time on the streets.
PCSO Julie Harrop-Rhodes said “this means we can be more visible in the community as it will reduce paper work, we will also be able to access accurate and up to date information and data while on the move”
