PCSO’s increased their patrols after a number of people had phoned the police, reporting youths with an airgun on the canal bank. There were also reports of dead birds including ducks found at the side of the canal.
During one patrols PCSO’s came across Three youths with an air weapon, the youths were stopped and the air weapon was confiscated
One youth faces a police caution for having a loaded air weapon in a public place.
All PC’s from Wombwell and Darfield SNT have attended a Regional Wild Life Crime Training Course to raise awareness of Wild Life Crime.
