A team of PCSO's from across the Doncaster district has been formed to help tackle anti social behaviour.
The team of six who are based at Stainforth Police Station provide cover across Doncaster particularly when a Safer Neighbourhood Team is on Weekly Leave or on a day shift. In addition to dealing with incidents as they occour they also offer help and reassurance to victims, signposting and referring to relevant agencies as required and also inform young people of activities that are available in their area.
PCSO Supervisor Thor-Dale Elsson said "South Yorkshire Police take the issue of anti social behaviour very seriously and in response to what the public are telling us across Doncaster it's an issue we will tackle robustly. This team has been put together to provide a further resource to the excellent work already being done on the Safer Neighbourhood Teams by Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, DMBC Council Wardens, South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue and St Leger Homes to name but a few." he added "The team will focus on areas when the local SNT are off duty to provide a consistant level of service across the week and throughout the day helpin gto tackle the issues that matter to local residents."
