Police attended the Crowther Place area of Sheffield at 12.45pm today, 30 September, after a report that a man had been assaulted.
The man was treated by a paramedic at the scene before being taken by ambulance to the city’s Northern General Hospital, where he died an hour after the incident.
Meanwhile police have sealed off the area, which includes part of Abbeydale Road, and have begun investigations.
