The Kendray and Worsbrough SNT carried out an operation on the Trans Pennine Trail on Sunday the 7th of August to deal with nuisance motorcycles. This is as part of their long term efforts to deal with this issue. They used officers in uniform and plain clothes and some were deployed on bicycles. They were also joined for the day by TPT rangers. It turned out to be a relatively quiet day, where two individuals were given warnings under the Police Reform Act regarding using motorcycles on private land. Another male was seen behaving suspiciously and when officers searched him they found some cannabis in his pocket. He was given a 'penalty notice' which is simillar to a speeding ticket. This means he will have to pay an £80 fine.
