A 44-year-old man has been sentenced to 12 months in prison for cannabis cultivation in Bessacarr.
Simon Kaye was arrested on Wednesday, 20 October, following the Bessacarr and Cantley Safer Neighbourhood Team being granted a warrant to raid an address on Bawtry Road suspected of drugs activity.
An approximate street value of £15,000 of cannabis was discovered and seized from the address aswell as drugs paraphernalia.
Kaye was charged with cultivation of cannabis and was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment at Doncaster Magistrates court in June 2011.
PC Jackie Cawley who was involved in the raid and arrest said: “We will not tolerate criminality and illegal activity and we will always ensure we do our utmost to deal with people who commit crime. I would ask our community to come forwards with any information they have, or with anything that is of a concern to them, so we can put measures in place to resolve any problems or issues.”
