Officers spent all morning monitoring parking and also horse racing on the public highway in the moorends area. the parking issues were brought as a result of football teams playing on a nearby field-no issues were identified.

Alcohol test purchases have been carried out in this area and all premises passed.
there has been an increase in people throwing fireworks and posting them through letterboxes.
we are currently working with SYFR to ensure this stops and that those targetted has appropriate fire safety.
We are working with DMBC to address the premise that we suspect is selling the fireworks.

Since the downfall of snow there have been quite a few calls in relation to snow balling incidents.
However despite these incidents ASB calls in the area are still down 30.1% compared with last year.
criminal damage is also down by 39.6%

14 addresses were subject to joint visits by SYP/DMBC and St.leger. These were the addresses on 14 youths who had been identified as being involved in ASB incidents over the past week.

Officers attended a report of a youth climbing into a compound on The Circle. As a result 6 youths were taken home to be spoken to in the presence of their parents and ABC forms will be submitted.

Patrols carried out until 3am in this area. All licensed premises were visited by Thorne SNT staff.

For the past week the SNT have patrolled this area on a daily basis whenever on duty. There have been no ASB related issues in this area since setting this as a PACT priority. There have only been 18 calls in the past 9 days in relation to ASB.
Since 01/01/11 until 31/10/11 damage has reduced by 34.4% and criminal damage has reduced by 28.8%

You were concerned with the increasing ASB in the West road area.

23rd November.
Since setting this as a priority we have carried out regular patrols which has resulted in there being no calls from this street.
A multi agency meeting has also been heald in relation to concern over some children that live in this area.
Today we assited trading standards with a warrant to enter an search a nearby property. As a result a number of items were seized by Trading standards who will be instigating a prosecution.
At the same time we also assisted St leger with an eveiction of a tennant involved in crime and anti social behaviour in this area.
this evening we are all engaged in operations in Stainforth to address ASB on the New Park estate.

At this time all crime in this area is down by 8.1% which equates to 87 crimes less this year from 01/04/2011 to 01/12/2011.
Damage is down 38% whish is 106 crimes less

It was agreed that this area should remain as a PACT priority but that the attention should shift to the Oak road area which is the area that the ASB appears to have been displaced to.

This area is now a newly identified DPPO area and as such no one is permitted to drink in the street. Since setting this as a priority we have seized 4 cans/bottles from people drinking in the Oak road area.
There has been a drop in calls in relation to ASB but an increase in calls reporting loose horses in this area. I am in discussion with DMBC as to the best way to solve this issue.

During work carried out in the area the following issues have been dealt with by DMBC.
2x piles of dumped rubbish cleared up from North Commmon road.
Fly tipping issue dealt with on Hadds lane, this consisted of gas bottles, petrol tanks and tyre wheels.
6 bags of rubbish cleared up from Darlington estate.
At this time all crime in this area is down by 8.1% which equates to 87 crimes less this year from 01/04/2011 to 01/12/2011.

Regular patrols have been conducted on Church Street, Thorne following reports of Anti Social Behaviour. There have been only a couple reports of anti social behaviour where youths have been reported to be throwing apples. Regular patrols in the area have reduced the problem of anti social behaviour, however due to the school holidays, patrols are to continue as a priority in this area.

15th October-general update as to work so far.
Over the past few week officers have been working with the youth centre, DMBC, Town Council , Trinity school and the CCTV suite to address the issues in this area.
PS Rowse has carried out assemblies at Trinity and the head teacher has also highlighted issues to all pupils.
cameras are to be installed which will help with gathering details of offences and offenders.
PC garland has done a piece of work with the camera suite which will assist when the SNT are on duty.
DMBC and SYP have carried out a community impact survey in this area which identified a number of residents who are having issues with ASB.
DMBC are looking at the issue of the fruit tree and also the bins on Stonegate carpark which do seem to be a gathering point.
Victim support are being informed of all victims of ASB in this area and also the neighbourhood response team and the ASB team from SYP who regularly make contact with the victims identified.
Around 8 youths have been served with 1st course of conduct harassment warnings and ABC reports have also been submitted.

Following several weeks of patrols and having now issued at least 8 harassment warning I am please to say that there hasnt been any incident reported from this area in the past 3 weeks.

Regular patrols have been conducted on the Darlington Estate, weekly Estate Walks have been arranged with St Leger to identify problem areas. Several families have been visited and spoken to about Anti Social Behaviour, this is to be monitored and they have all received letters about Breach of Tenancy.
Youths have been spoken to about running through the gardens of OAP Bungalows and warned of their behaviour. Parents of children stopped, have also been visited advising them of their childs behaviour.
There are ongoing meetings being held with DMBC and St Leger regarding empty properties and potential risk of damage. Please can all residents report any incidents?
Darlington Estate is going to remain as a PACT Priority until further notice.

High vis patrols of Marshland road. No youths seen in the area. we did respond to the sighting of a suspicious vehicle on Marshland road. This vehicle -a silver focus-was stopped on Coulman street and the 3 occupants spoken to. These males were all from Sheffield and had connections with the post code gangs in Sheffield. A small amount of cannabis was recovered from the vehicle which led to the owner being issued a £80 fine for possessing cannabis.

Foot, cycle and mobile patrols carried out in this area. Whilst on patrol the PCSO see a stolen vehicle with a known male driving . The vehicle was later found abandoned. The male was located the folowing day and arrested. He has since been charged with the theft and also motoring offences.

That you were concerned with anti social behaviour around Miller lane shops in Thorne.

Ongoing PACT Priority, regular patrols covering Miller Lane Shop fronts and at the rear.
One male taken home to parents after causing a nuisance at the Chip Shop, however, no further incidents reported for a number of weeks.
One group of male and female youths were moved on from the shop front, but no issues caused.
Two males were stopped and searched at the rear of the shops following reports of smoking drugs, nothing found on either party. They were advised to move on from the area and refrain from making it a social stop.
