A 'MoCam' (Mobile Camera mounted on a street lamp) has been utilised in the area.  This is currently covering the junction of City Road and Park Grange Road.  This area has been reported at various times as being a hotspot for youths gathering and engaging in anti-social behaviour.  The footage from this camera has been utilised numerous times in active criminal investigations.  The camera also acts as a deterrent to those involved in anti-social behaviour and criminal activity.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team is currently working closely with local businesses, Green Estates, Manor Castle Development Trust, Street Force and local residents in the area.  Together they are taking measures to reduce anti-social behaviour and criminality in the area.

The South Yorkshire Police helicopter has been utilised in the area.  The images the Officers from the helicopter were able to capture allowed Safer Neighbourhood Officers to identify individuals involved in the use of off road motor cycles in the Manor Fields area.   The helicopter Officers are also able to track where any offending vehicles are abandoned, hidden or housed, so that they can be seized.

Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team are conducting patrols wearing body worn cameras.  These cameras are worn on the officer's body armour and are able to record images in colour, with sound. They not only act as a deterrent but images captured are often used in active investigations as evidence.

Eight individuals have been issued with Acceptable Behaviour Contracts.  These contracts state to the youth the type of behaviour is not acceptable to the community they live in or visit.  The contracts are a valuable tool South Yorkshire Police uses to work with local landlords and parents to intervene in behaviour which can lead to a young person committing crime.  Quite often a social landlord (e.g. ACIS, Sheffield Homes, Great Places, etc.) will issue a caution on tenancy, as anti-social behaviour is classed as a breach.  If this type of behaviour continues the contracts can be used as evidence so that more severe action can be taken.

A number of Parental Advisory Letters have been delivered advising parents of what their children have been doing.  These are used to address the actions of young people involved in anti-social behaviour.  A Police Community Support Officer will speak to parents wherever possible with the young person present.

The residents of the area affected have been offered the opportunity to participate in the Safe and Well Scheme.  This scheme provides equipment to make their properties more secure and thus make the resident feel more comfortable in their home.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team is currently working closely with ACIS and local residents in the area.  Together they are taking measures to reduce anti-social behaviour and criminality in the area.  This includes repairing the communal door to the flats complexes in the area, etc.

Six off road motor cycles have been seized from the area.  These bikes will have been used in an anti-social manner and is often distressing to residents.  The owners of the vehicles have to pay a fee to receive the vehicles back.  If this fee is not paid within 28 days, the vehicle is crushed.

A police operation between Manor and Arbourthorne Safer Neighbourhood Team and Woodhouse Safer Neighbourhood Team took place.  This looked at tackling the problem of anti-social use of off road bikes across both areas.  Often those using the vehicles will cross over the border of each Safer Neighbourhood Area to avoid being caught by the police.  The operation resulted in four off road bikes being seized, which were witnessed to have been used in both areas.  There were also a number of official warnings given to individuals to further prevent anti-social use of motor vehicles.

Residents in the area who have expressed concerns have been provided with details of the area's Police Community Support Officers so that they can continue to liaise with the Safer Neighbourhood Team and be updated of any action taken.
