As a result of the COMMUNITY PACT MEETING held on 29.09.10, the decision was made to continue to designate the Cathedral estate as a PACT PRIORITY AREA.

A new police initiative has been put into effect as of 1st October till 31st October 2010 whereby the police will patrol current PACT priorities and hot spot area with a dedicated anti social behaviour resource.

At 9.10pm PCSO Bennett conducted a foot patrol in the area engaging and dispersing a group of 12 youths aged between 9-19 years from Durham Road.

Inc reported from a resident that on the 29th Jan a gang of 12-15 youths hanging around the flats complex. Night response team arrived and the youths moved on. Contact details of all helpful agencies have been given to all complainants. The Caretaker of Unity Flats also encourages all complainants to contact the police.

Inc reported of 1x adult and 4x children walking along Parkway North. A group of youths 17-19 years emerged from Unity flats and  threw eggs at them.

Foot patrol done by Pcso Bennett and Sgt Hunter. A number of youths were gathering o/s the Londis shop. Several of the youths began to sing on the top of their voices. They then went from there onto Durham Rd

The same youths seen again on Ely Rd. They were o/s an address some of which were sat on the fence. One particular male became loud and began to swear, after being warned of his behavior he refused to stop and so was arrested for Sec 5 Public Order.

At  21.00hrs 15 youths were seen on Beckett Rd near the bus stop o/s Unity Flats. They were dispersed and split up only to be found in separate groups back on Ripon Ave and Chester Rd.  Patrols where conducted by all staff on the SNT either on foot or mobile patrol in the area.

At 8pm, all SNT staff deployed into the Cathedral Estate on foot and in police vehicles after a report of a large group causing ASB. These groups were dispersed and moved from the area.

Police officers and PCSO’s attended a meeting to discuss Anti social behavior in the area and highlight individuals who were responsible.

Section 30 dispersal order now in place covering Wheatley estate, SYP and DMBC will conducted numerous patrols throughout the days and nights engaging with any group of 2 or more, causing or likely to cause anti social behaviour.

2 Pc’s and 4 PCSO’s conducted patrols and spoke to a groups of youths. Warnings where given out to the group. A number of dispersals where given during the afternoon and evenings from the SNT.

At 8.50pm PCSO Moseley stopped a group of youths that had caused ASB earlier on in the day and given direction to disperse from being part of a group likely to cause ASB in the estate. PC Edwards, PCSO Baker and CSW Markham also patrolled the area and returned one youth home due to being under the age of 16. 

At 9.15pm a further person was given the direction to leave the area of Wheatley and not return for 24 hours due to the person not living in the dispersal area.

At 1600hrs one youth returned to home address involved in asb at bus stop, by PC 407 and PC 507.  2100/2130 three youths returned to home address as under the age of 16 and likely to be involved in asb in section 30 area.

These conditions are in place till his court date.

05.01.12 - PCSO Eschoe and PCSO Moseley have carried out high visibility patrols across Town Moor today. Reassurance visits at several local addresses were carried out during which residents were spoken to with regard to burglaries in the area.

06.01.12 - Between the hours of 8am and 5pm PCSO's Eschoe and Moseley have carried out high visibility cycle patrols in the TownMoor area, focusing on patrolling up and down the alleyways and surrounding streets.

09.01.12 - PCSO Moseley and PCSO Eschoe have carried out high visibility cycle patrols dring shift hours from 1pm until 10pm today. Focus was on patrolling along local alleyways and streets. A local member of the community was visited and spoken to with regard to burglaries which have occured in the area.

10.01.12 - PCSO Eschoe and PCSO Moseley have carried out cycle patrols from the hours of 1pm until 10pm along the alleyways and streets across the TownMoor area. Local shop owners have been visited and spoken to, and several youths that had congregated outside a local shop were spoken to and moved on from the area. A motorbike that was observed being ridden on the TownFields was also seized by local officers during this time. A female which has also been observed to be parking across local residents driveways has been spoken to advised accordingly.

11.01.12 - Between the hours of 1pm and 10pm local officers, PCSO Eschoe and PCSO Moseley have conducted high visibility cycle patrols across the TownMoor area, including alleys and streets. During this time two youths were observed riding bikes along the alleyways; after which the relevant information was submitted.

13.01.12 - The area was extensively patrolled between the hours of 1pm and 10pm by PC Fisher and PCSO's Moseley and Eschoe. During the course of the day a suspicious vehicle was observed to be parked up in an alleyway. The vehicle and its owner was searched as a result and relevant information was later submitted.

17.01.12 - PCSO Eschoe and PCSO Moseley have conducted high visibility cycle patrols throughout the shift between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Local residents on Craithie Road and surrounding streets have been spoken to and advised about crime prevention tactics following burglaries in the area.

PCSO Moseley and Eschoe attended a police incident created by a resident in Shaftesbury House, stating that a group of youths were causing ASB by ringing the intercom and running up and down the stairs. The officers quickly identified the offenders, stopping a group of the outside the flat area. All details were taken and no further action will be taken on this occasion however if problem persist the SNT will deal with this group robustly.

22.12.11 - Local Beat officers, PCSO Moseley, PCSO Taylor and PCSO Eschoe patrolled the main arterial routes throughout Intake and on this occasion with the assistance of PC Fisher,  seized a motor vehicle on Cumberland Avenue Intake at 11am for driving in a careless inconsiderate manner and also driving without insurance.

04.01.12 - Local beat officers PCSO Moseley and PCSO Eschoe patrolled the area on cycles visiting the flats making enquiries into an offence of Criminal Damage.

05.01.12 - Following reports that youth nuisance is occurring at the flat area, patrols have been conducted by local beat officers, PCSO's Eschoe and Moseley and a group of youths were stopped, obtaining details and moved away from the area. Westminster Crescent, Lothian Road, Shaftesbury Avenue and High rise flats were patrolled regularly throughout the shift.

09.01.12 - Police incident created from a resident that youth nuisance is occurring again at the flat area. The group left prior to police arrival however these were named on the incident and more referrals submitted in regards to the behaviour of local youths.

10.01.12 - PCSO Moseley and Eschoe conducted cycle patrols in the Westminster Crescent area after reports of a stolen pedal cycle from an address in the local area. Although crime is continuing to fall; the help of local residents to keep properties locked and secure is needed which will assist in detering any opportunist offenders.

11.01.12 - Your local Beat Officers have patrolled and conducted a leaflet drop in the local area informing residents of a burglary and if any suspicious activity is witnessed to contact South Yorkshire Police on the new 101 number.
