Update, January 2011

Edlington SNT are continuing to patrol this problematic area as and when possible. Unfortunately there have been further instances of empty properties being entered and some fires in the area. PS vernon has again made contact with Pathfinder staff with a view to speeding up the demolision process as, empty houses are being left for too long in the derelict state. PS Vernon has meet on two occasions with staff to try and speed up this process.

Patrols are to continue to try and catch persons responsible. It is the intention to keep this area on as a PACT priority in light of these continued incidents.

Update, Feb 2011

Edlington SNT continue to patrol this area as and when possible. This can be problematic in light of the size of area to cover. The SNT inform pathfinder/st leger on a regular basis re any property which is insecure or of any other issues on the estate. It is a fact however, that with regards to a long term solution, the only way to cosistently reduce such issues of fires or other anti-social behaviour on the estate is to remove the attraction , ie the empty, insecure buildings. To this end Edlington SNT will continue to liaise with pathfinder and will try to speed up, wherever possible, the demolision of this estate and in turn reduce the inicdents of disorder.

15/4/2011

PS Vernon from Edlington SNT has been constantly in liaison with pathfinder and DMBC staff and receives regular updates re any issues. Demolision crews have recently had fencing pushed over at the site which SNT are to look at. Patrols to continue throughout the demolision process by SNT staff when on duty.
