Anti Social Behaviour and nuisance motor bikes on Windsor Street, Grange Crescent and Chapel Lane
Two focused operations have taken place recently against nuisance motorcycling. Vehicles have been seized and a number of warning notices have been given out. If anyone receiving a notice is seen (or their vehicle is seen) driving or being driven in an inconsiderate manner, the vehicle being used will be seized.
A further operation is planned for the near future.
Two operations have now taken place - Operation Bala and Operation Astonish. People have been arrested, bikes seized, warning notices given out and quite a bit of new intelligence obtained. Updated - 1st August 2010
Complaints have been received regarding motorbikes being ridden in back gardens. The occupants of these addresses have been visited, advised and landlords have been contacted with regard to sending their clients letters regarding possible breaches of tenancy.
Three males were arrested attempting to 'hotwire' a scooter in this PACT area. The scooter had been reported stolen earlier that day.
On Tuesday 7th September 2010 two males were stopped on Grange crescent, Thurnscoe. They were both on PY80 off road motorbikes whilst on the road, they were both issued with warning notices under the Police Reform Act.

Anti Social Behaviour and Nuisance Vehicles on Springwood Grove and Hampole Drive. This was agreed at the PACT meeting held on 29 April 2010.
- Patrols in the PACT areas, a number of youths spoken with but not causing any problems at that time.
- £20 alcohol seized.
- 6 stop and accounts / person searches carried out.
- 2 vehicles seized for causing a nuisance.
- 1 arrest - possess offensive weapon (hammer hidden in sleeve)
- Street Based Teams of Youth Workers / SNT staff.

Anti Social Behaviour and Criminal Damage on Main Street, Goldthorpe. This was agreed at the PACT meeting held on 29 April 2010.
- Patrols in the area - Dearne SNT officers - no problem youths during patrols
- Youths located on Claycliffe Terrace Park - 15 bottles VK, 3 cans lager, 4xlitre bottles of Lambrini type alcohol, 1 FPND £80 for purchasing alcohol for under 18's, 2 arrests for public order offences (sec 5)
- 2 anti social behaviour letters issued
- Reassurance visits to residents in the area
- 3 arrests for criminal damage, 1 for cultivation of cannabis - £300
- 1 motorcycle recovered from well known youth causing nuisance
DEARNE HIGH SCHOOL PACT PRIORITY - Speeding vehicles and inconsiderate parking around the school.

Speeding vehicles and inconsiderate parking around the school.
Chosen as a PACT priority at the January 2010 PACT meeting by Dearne High School crime and safety sub group.
Dearne High School pupils designed and erected 2 road safety banners to the school railings depicting road safety messages.

Smiley Sid operation carried out on Houghton Road and 11 motorists stopped and advised regarding their speed. Advice letters have also been provided to all 11 motorists.
BOLTON ON DEARNE PACT PRIORITY - Criminal Damage to Property and Vehicles on South Drive and Broadwater
What issues concerned you most in your area
Criminal Damage to property and vehicles on South Drive and Broadwater. It was agreed that this would continue as the priority at the PACT meeting held on 29 April 2010.
Pro-active patrol carried out
Motorbike seized from South Drive following complaints from residents regarding on-going nuisance.
Reassurance visit on Broadwater to residents.

A group of youths were warned in relation to a S5 public order offence on South Drive
Operation Barron is being run and to date we have submitted 11 intelligence reports, 1 fixed penalty notice has been issued for driving a vehicle on land other than a road, 2 searches have been made under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act, 2 people have been issued with forms for them to produce their vehicle documents, 2 stop and account notices have been issued and 2 persons have been issued with warning notices regarding nuisance vehicles. Three persons have had their vehicles confiscated regarding their nuisance use and 3 arrests have been made. (One arrest for burglary, one for possession of offensive weapon and one for Breach of Court order).
It was agreed at the PACT meeting on 29 April 2010 that this would be retained as the PACT priority for the next month.

- Joint patrols with neighbourhood wardens and SNT staff
- Planned operation targeting damage including extra plain clothes patrols 6 people stopped and either searched or asked to account for their actions
- 6 ASB letters
- £13,500 cannabis seized, 4 cans & 3 litres lambrini style alcohol seized
- Youth workers covering the Dearne SNT area 5 evenings a week
- Youth services disco every Friday night - diversionary activity
- 2 arrests ( 1 for lead theft, 1 wanted)
GOLDTHORPE PACT PRIORITY - ASB on Claycliffe Terrace, Co-operative St, Market Square & gennel onto High Street (next to Netto)

Anti social behaviour on Claycliffe Terrace, Co-operative Street, Market Square and the gennel at the side of Netto onto High Street. This was agreed at the PACT meeting held on 1 April 2010.
3 reported incidents over the last month
Patrols carreid out in the area by Dearne SNT Officers – some youths found playing football but no problems raised by residents in the main, although 4 calls were received about youths footballing on Cross Street (adjacent to PACT area)
2 incidents reported for Co-operative Street regarding youths drinking in the street and the same youths then causing damage to fence panels. Youths located, but caller then did not want to take any formal action against those involved.
Work is currently underway in relation to progressing Goldthorpe village as a Section 12 area (supported by CSSG members)
£28.00 of alcohol was seized from groups of youths
A lot of litter was found in the "backings" – arrangements made for a clean up of the area
2 residents spoken to on Market Square – they stated that they had experienced no problems in the area
1 youth was advised regarding their behaviour and was moved on
1 incident of 20+ youths drinking/fighting one youth arrested for public order offence– PAVA deployed and this male has been charged to Court

Anti Social Behaviour on Burnside, Thurnscoe and this was agreed at the PACT meeting held on 1 April 2010.
3 incidents reported in the last month
A group of youths (aged between 8-12 years) spoken to, but there were no issues
Operation Bercu was run on 24 April 2010 (4 Stop and accounts, 4 intelligence reports submitted, 1 ABC letter sent out regarding Anti social behaviour, 1 warning notice issued under the Police Reform Act in relation to the anti social use of a vehicle, 20 cans of lager was seized as well as a bottle of lager)
A complaint was received regarding youths causing annoyance on motorbikes. One bike has been seized under the Police Reform Act. Other offences were also disclosed and the offender has been reported on summons for these offences.
Bolton on Dearne PACT Priority - Anti Social Behaviour on Mansion Fields
What issues concerned you most in your area
Anti social behaviour on Mansion Fields.
Joint patrols in the area but no issues found. Youths were playing basketball in the park and causing no problems.
Residents were visited and reassurance provided - particularly to those residents that live near to the entrances to the fields.
Youth workers covering the Dearne SNT area working 5 evenings a week to engage with the youths and look at diversionary activities.

What issues concerned you most in your area
Anti social behaviour and street drinking in a Section 12 area on Houghton Road, specifically outside the Houghton Road Community Centre, the Rainbow Centre, the Hope Centre and Netto Stores.
Residents have been visited and reassurance patrols provided. This includes the local care home with the elderly residents.
All the business properties and community centres within the PACT area have been visited by SNT Officers and contact details provided.
Two stop and accounts have been carried out.

What issues concerned you most in your area
Anti social behaviour on Claycliffe Terrace, Co-operative Street and Market Square
Youth workers covering the Dearne SNT area working 5 evenings a week to engage with the youths and look at diversionary activities.
Patrols have been carried out in the area by officers from Dearne SNT
Officers from the Mounted Section have also provided high visibility patrols to support the SNT staff.
Some youths located on Co-operative Street were being noisy outside residential properties and were asked to leave the area. They did this without incident.
