We did: 

30/09/2011 - Locke Park -  19.45hrs reports of bottles being thrown over wall onto main road from Locke Park. A large group of youths in park, evidence of drinking as disgarded bottles/cans on floor.  Youths advised and moved on.

06/10/2011 - Locke Park - A group of aprox 10 males/females present. Smell of cannabis. Group all searched to no gain.

 

PRINCESS STREET/AGNES ROAD/PEASEHILL CLOSE PARK and SRING STREET PARK - Antisocial Behaviour, Youths gathering.

06/10/2011 - Agnes Road - At 19.45hrs a group of six youths noted gathering outside local shop on Agnes road.

Group rowdy but no offences.

At the Pact Meeting on Thursday 25th August 2011 you told us that you were concerned about anti social behaviour on Bridge Street, Barnsley. You said you wanted Bridge Street to remain a PACT Priority for the month of September.

You said that there were issues of noise and drinking and drug misuse linked to some of the houses on the street, you also raised concerns about groups of youths concregating on the backings of Bridge Street and the surrounding areas.

We did: 

03/05/2011 - Area patrols conducted throughout the evening shift by 8302 and 8142.  At 16.55hrs Group of males and females at rear of 15 Bridge Street (alleyway that runs between Bridge Street and Honeywell Street). Group spoken to and requested that they move on which they did.  20.00hrs group again congregating same individuals as earlier all spoken to and advised this is not an area for them to congregate and drink.

04/05/2011 -  Bridge Street patrolled throughout shift by 8302 . No Issues.

05/05/2011 - Bridge Street patrolled by 8302 and 8018. At 1415hrs a mixed group of youths congregated on the backings of Bridge Street. Several nominals within the group were displaying signs of drug misuse. A white powder was visible around their nostrils. Police Officers were called to the location and all the nominals were street searched. Two of the youths were taken into custody for a strip search.

06/05/2011 - Bridge Street patrolled throughout shift by 8302 and 8142. At 1415hrs a £30 FPN Ticket issued to a vehicle causing an obstruction to the drop down kerb junction with Eldon Street. At 1430hrs a male tenant of Bridge Street was seen walking on Eldon Street with numerous cuts to hands and face. Later conveyed to BDGH.

10/05/2011 - Bridge Street patrolled by 8142 and 8302 throughtout shift. Nothing of note.

11/05/2011 - Bridge Street patrolled throughout shift by 8302 and 8018. Nothing of note.

12/05/2011 - Bridge Street patrolled throughout shift by 8302 and 8018. Nothing of note.

13/05/2011 - Bridge Street patrolled throughout shift by 8302 and 8018. Nothing of note.

16/05/2011 - PCSO 8303 and 8019, attend a job at 17:00hrs on Bridge Street, Large group at the back of number 15 drinking and taking drugs. On our arrival group dispersed. Checked the area throughout the shift.

17/05/2011 - Area patrol conducted throughout the evening shift.  Nothing of note, no individauls seen.  No incidents reported up to end of shift.

18/05/2011 - Bridge Street patrolled throughout shift (0800 x 1600hrs) by 8302 and 8018. Nothing of note. No incidents reported.

19/05/2011 - Patrols conducted throughout the shift from 10:30 hrs to 15:15 hrs by PCSO 8018 and PCSO 8302.Two well known nominals were seen to attend a property on Bridge Street at 14:20 hrs. No youths were seen on the backings.

20/05/2011 - Bridge Street patrolled by 8302 through out shift. Nothing of note.No Incidents reported.

22/05/2011 - 17:20hrs - Incident reported - Brigde Street - a group of 9 males and females around the back of 15 Bridge Street. Attended and group moved on.

23/05/2011 - Bridge Street patrolled by 8302 and 8019 throughout shift - Nothing of note.One report of a vehicle causing an obstruction to the backings on Bridge Street. On our arrival vehicle had moved on.

26/05/2011 - Whilst on night shift, PC's 742 and 1588 have carried out mobile and foot patrols in and around Bridge Street, all quiet on both occasions.

27//05/2011 - Eight youths at the rear of 15, Bridge Street. Upon Police arrival they attempted to conceal a bottle of Lambrini that was subsequently poured away. They'd been reported as messing about and causing a nusiance. They were advised and went on there way with no trouble. PC 435 STROUD.

28/05/2011 - Bridge Street area patrolled by 8302 and 8142 throughout shift.Nothing of note.

29/05/2011 - At 1830 hours on Saturday 29th May PC BOTHAM and PC STROUD conducted mobile patrol on Bridge Street, Honeywell Street and surrounding streets including the backings. All quiet. No persons about.

31/05/2011 - Bridge patrolled throughout shift by 8302 and 8142.At 1720hrs - Two known nominals seen loitering on Bridge Street.

02/06/2011 - Bridge Street patrolled by 8302 and 8226 throughout shift.1500hrs - rear of 15, Bridge Street - Anon call regarding a group approx 10 youths congregating on the backings of Bridge Street.No alcohol found, group moved on.PC`s 1233 and 3199 also attended the incident.

06/06/2011 - Area patrol conducted by 8142 and 8302.  At 17.00hrs large group of 10 males and 1 female in the backings between Bridge Street and Honeywell Street, some of these indivduals are well known. Some of the individuals were under the influence of either drink or drugs.  All advised and moved from area.

07/06/2011 - At 08:50 hours on Bridge Street, Honeywell Street and surrounding streets including backings checked to no gain. Hi-vis patrol and a  members of public spoken to. No issues reported. All quiet on arrival.

08/06/2011 - Bridge Street area patrolled throughout the shift by 8302 and 8142. Nothing of note.

09/06/2011 - PCSO`s 8302/8142 Respond to ACR call at 18:20hrs, report of youths at the rear of 15, Bridge Street. On arrival no youths present.PC 1983/PCSO 8303 Patrol Bridge Street at 21:15hrs. Five youths in the backings of Bridge Street, advised to move on out of the area.

Street drinking, noise and anti-social behaviour on Sunderland Terrace and the surrouding streets.

You said: 

At the Pact Meeting on Thursday 26th May 2011 you told us that you were concerned about anti social behaviour on Sunderland Terrace Barnsley. You asked that Sunderland terrace be kepted as a PACT Priority for the month of June. You also wanted the surrounding streets to form part of the Pact Priority area.

You said that there were issues of noise and drinking linked to some of the houses on the street, you also raised concerns about rubbish and litter and general Anti-Social Behaviour in the surrounding streets.

03/05/2011 - Area patrols conducted periodically throughout the afternoon shift by 8226 8142 and 8302.  15.45hrs group of young chidren in the street spoken to by 8226 regarding foul and offensive language.  No street drinking observed tonight. 

04/05/2011 - Area patrols throughout shift by 8226.  Nothing of note.

05/05/2011 - Area patrols throughout shift by 8226.  Nothing of note.

06/05/2011 - PCSO 8226 Anderson - 15:20 hrs to 16:20 hrs, foot patrol in area showing visible presence talking to residents and local youths - no issues at this time but one resident stated that there had been another incident outside a property regarding adults using foul language on the frontage and in  the street.I've asked all residents to report any incidents (and log them in ASB.diaries where appropriate).

10/05/2011 - Foot patrol in area by PCSO 8226 Anderson - Street had been cleaned and recent new fence panels to two properties made the area look upgraded. However I had to speak to a nine year old boy from Brinckman Street regarding him kicking a football at the gable ends and fence panels of a property. No other issues.

11/05/2011 - PCSO 8226 Anderson- High Vis. foot patrol in Sunderland Terrace/Osborne Street at 14:20 hrs, 16:00 hrs and 19:45 hrs - nothing of note to report.

12/05/2011 - PCSO 8226 Anderson - high vis. foot patrol in area at 18.50 hrs and 21.10 hrs - At 18.50 hrs.resident reported noisey group of adults that were causing problems outside a property. A resident stated there had been noise, drinking and bad language - Anti  Social  Behaviour diaries given to collect details/times/dates etc. At 21.10hrs children out in street making noise with football on gable end of empty house, parents spoken to.Additionally, a saferneighbourhood team camera has now been erected.

16/05/2011 - 21;00 hrs to 2130 hrs PCSO 8226 Anderson & PCSO 8303 McFadzean foot patrol in area-nothing of note at the time.PCSO 8226 issued ASB Formal Verbal Warning to a female for being involved in an affray in the street on Sunderland Terrace on 12/05 2011 and 13/05/11, following complaints from residents.

17/05/2011 - Area patrol by 8142 and 8018 nothing of note.  Incident reported at 21.40hrs for criminal damage and large group fighting outside a property on Sunderland Terrace.  Officers dealt no issues, no one fighting, no damage.

27/05/2011 - At 13:30 hrs approx - PC 2106 Stratford  & PC 3200 Rees patrolled area- three males stood in doorway of a property on Sunderland Terrace about to come out onto street with cans of alcohol.On seeing officers, went back inside property.

29/05/2011 - At 19:40 hours PC BOTHAM and PC STROUD conducted mobile patrol on Sunderland Terrace. All quiet on arrival. No one out on the street or surrounding streets.

31/05/2011 - Area patrol conducted throughout the evening by 8226 and 8303.Ay approx 20.05hrs minor altercation fuelled by alcohol involving male and female outside Doncaster Road School.  Female advised, no offences disclosed.

01/06/2011 - PCSO 8226 Anderson foot patrol in area at 16:25hrs, 17:25hrs.18:10 hrs.,19:15 hrs &19:40 hrs - Alcohol taken from a male as he came off Osborne Street at 18:40 hrs- minor altication on Osbourne Street involving two males and two females.

02/06/2011 - 13:30 hrs to 14:15 hrs PCSOs 8226 Anderson & 8302 Makinson patrolled area.(nothing of note)Additionally,150 leaflets were delivered, informing residents that the area is a Policing Priority area, giving details of the PACT and CSG meetings and telephone contact details for reporting incidents of ASB in the area.Leaflets delivered to Sunderland Terrace, Osborne Street Seth Terrace,Burton Terrace, Junction Street and part of Doncaster Road.

09/06/2011 - 15:40 hrs to 16:30 hrs PCSO 8226 Anderson patrolled area .Received complaints from residents that a female and friends were sitting out on chairs on the pavement in front of her house. Gave advice re- obstructing the highway.

Patrolled area - alcohol confiscated and ASB Verbal Warning given to a male on Sunderland Terrace for consuming alcohol in a designated no drinking zone (Section 12 area). Additionally, a fourth ASB diary given out to a resident for info on ASB at a particular property on Sunderland Terrace.

08/06/2011 - PC 1983 and PCSO 8303 - Protest outside college with PS Pursley and 2089/8256 - Protest peaceful.14:30hrs 2 x males on searched by PC1983 on Cheapside. 15:30hrs a male found asleep on Dog Lane, ambulance attended for safety issues.

09/06/2011 - Between 1630 hours and 1930 hours PC1830 foot patrol Town Centre, Interchange, Mandela Gardens and Markets. Four youths taking drugs at the rear of Zero Ice. Male arrested for possession of Ketamine. Youths swinging on the trees in Mandela Gardens - moved on.  Two large groups around Interchange and Mandela Gardens they were asked to move on and did so.  

10/06/2011 - Pc 1983 Swales and 2089 Maddock confiscate open bottle of vodka from a male on Peel street.

11/06/2011 - PC 1983/2089 Search two male near "mushroom" - nothing found. 13:15hrs PC 1983/PCSO 8303  - Male taken for a strip search - nothing found. 19:50hrs - A male issued with a £80 Fixed Penalty Notice for pulic order offence.

12/06/2011 - PC 1983 and PC 3793: Patrol of markets area, resulted in £5,500 (retail value) of counterfeit 'BARBOUR' jackets being seized from male trader. Interchange patroled, nothing of note. 'Dog Lane' checked (reports of drug dealing) nothing seen.

13/06/2011 - 1100hrs -  Peel Square. Pc 2089 and PCSO 8256 stop and search a Romanian male from Birmingham. Seen stopping people in street and trying to sell them fake gold. Searched and 7 metal rings and 3 metal chains recovered. Disclaimer signed for destruction of property.

14/06/2011 - At 16.15hrs PC's 177 KENYON and 3911 Senior seized x 3 cans stella from 2 males at the mushroom, all contents were poured away.

15/06/2011 - PCSO 8303 and PC 1983 Patrol 16:30-21:30hrs - 18:25hrs a male searached and arrested to prevent a breach of the peace.

16/06/2011 - PC 1983 and PC 3793: PATROL OF TOWN CENTRE & INTERCHANGE THROUGHOUT TOUR OF DUTY. ONE MALE SEARCHED (MANDELLA GARDENS) UNDER INFLUENCE OF KETAMINE WHICH HE ADMITTED TO HAVE TAKEN 2 HOURS PREVIOUSLY.ONE FEMALE REPORTED ON SUMMONS FOR BEEN ABUSIVE TOWARDS STAFF WITHIN BARNSLEY INTERCHANGE.

20/06/2011 - Mobile and foot patrol of interchange and Mandela Gardens - all quiet, nothing to report. Peel Square and Wellington Street patrolled. No one of note present.

21/06/2011 - Town Centre patrolled by PC 3928 Robinson and PC 2623 Blanchard. One known male stopped and searched on Market St, well in drink and pushing a pedal cycle. Instructed to go home and leave the bike.

01/04.2011 - Town centre foot patrol by PCSO 8256 and 8195 from 09.00hrs until 12.00hrs. 3 known nominals seen under the Mushroom at approximately 10.15hrs.No alcohol. No issues.

02/04/2011 - 1605hrs - Markets Area patrolled by 8302 and 8018. 2 x cans of alcohol confiscated from 2 males. Both males were given ASB warnings.  

03/04/2011 - 21.10 hrs to 21.40 hrs PCSO 8226 Anderson patrolled Interchange area - A male  was high on drugs/drink. I had to ask him to leave the interchange as his behaviour (swaying around) could cause alarm/distress to members of the public.

04/04/2011 - PCSO 8303 and 8226 Foot patrol in the town centre.19:10-19:30 Interchange spoke to 3 males in drink. All advised to leave the area.19:35 Cheapside spoke to 2 x males and 1 x female. The males could hardly stand and clearly under the influence of something, advised to leave town area and make their way towards the bus station.21:00 Market Area 4 x Cans of Lager confiscated from a male.21:15 Interchange spoke with a female she was clearly intoxicated, advised about her behaviour and placed on a bus home.

05/04/2011 - PC 1983 SWALES. Town Centre patrolled. At approx' 10:15hrs alcohol was confiscated / poured away from a male in section 12 Area, 'Mushroom', Cheapside. N.I.R. Submitted. P.A.C.E. 1 Completed.

06/04/2011 - 17.00 hrs on 06/04/2011 -  PCSO 8226 Anderson foot patroll through cheapside and peel SquareOn approaching Mushroom from Alhambra I could see a male drinking at mushroom from a bottle. When I arrived ast Mushroom he had hidden /discarded the bottle but was well in drink.The male agreed to attend Commerce House on 20/04/2011 to discuss ABC.

07/04/2011 - PCSO 8303 and PCSO 8142 Patrol Town between 08:00-17:00.- 11:45 alcohol confiscated from a male near to  markets - 12:00 -Alcohol confiscated from a male sat under mushroom.15:15 -  A small group sat by courthouse but at this time doing nothing of note.

08/04/2011 -1430hrs - Market Hill - 1 x bottle of Cider confiscated form a male.

11/04/2011 - PCSO 8226 and PC 2106 -13.25 hrs. Foot patrol car park rear of library, town centre,   Bottle of Lambrini Bianco confiscated from a male. The same male later seen consuming alcohol in park on Princess Street, surrendered alcohol - although in section 12, no signs up currently.

12/04/2011 - PC 1983 SWALES: TOWN CENTRE / INTERCHANGE / MANDELLA GARDENS PATROLLED THROUGHOUT TOUR OF DUTY (08:00HRS - 16:00HRS) NOTHING OF NOTE INTERCHANGE / MANDELLA GARDENS.ALCOHOL SEIZED FROM A MALE ON CHEAPSIDE (UNDER 'MUSHROOM') AT 12:05hrs 12/04/11. THIS IS A SECTION 12 AREA. SECTION 12 EXPLAINED TO MALE.

13/04/2011 - PC 1983 SWALES: Interchange / Mandella gardens patrolled throughout tour of duty. Nothing of note.Town centre Patrolled throughout tour of duty: Drink confiscated / poured away, from a male approx" 10:15hrs. (sat on 'Plynth', Cheapside.) sec' 12 Area. Sec' 12 protocol explained to male.

14/04/2011 - Market service road two males spoken to regarding drinking in the town and 2 x cans lager confiscated.

15/04/2011 - Town Centre patrolled by 8302 and 8018 - 1930hrs - Interchange - Two arrested for assault.

16/04/2011 - PC 1983 SWALES: Interchange / Town centre / Mandella Gardens patrolled. B.N.P. stall and Socialist Worker 'stalls' set up on Cheapside precinct. Monitored throughout morning until both left at around 14:00hrs.Nothing of note, Interchange.

17/04/2011 - PC 1983 SWALES: Sunday Markets,Town Centre patrolled 08:20 - 12:30hrs (time of closure) no incidents of note.One male in drink sat under 'Mushroom' Cheapside at 13:20hrs.No further alcohol on him at this time.Male advised accordingly and moved on.Interchange / Mandella gardens patrolled. No incidents of note.

18/04/2011 - Foot patrol by PCSO 8256 from 08.30hrs until 12.00hrs, two well known nominals sat under Mushroom - no alcohol, nothing of note.

18/04/2011 - Barnsley Voice Meeting - Inspector Julie Mitchell and Tasking Officer Steve Batty attended the Barnsley Voice meeting. This is a monthly meeting held by the business community of the Town Centre (new members welcome). The main issues raised at the meeting concerned anti social behaviour in the markets, particularly on non-market days. These issues involve young people solvent sniffing and urinating during the day time. Additional patrols will take place to identify and deal with offenders.
