PCSO's from Wentworth South SNT caught Flytippers in the act in East Herringthorpe. PCSO's Glyn Watts and Des Jenkinson saw the Ford Tipper Van loaded with rubbish heading for a popular site for illegally dumping rubbish. They followed the vehicle and witnessed it dump a large amount of rubbish on the street. The vehicle was stopped and all the occupants' details were obtained. The driver of the vehicle was subsequently breathalysed and arrested for being over the prescribed limit of alcohol.

The three males were recently in court and received the following:
1st Male 36yrs - 12 Month Community Order, 250 Hours Unpaid Work, 4 Month Curfew and £500 fine
2nd Male 40yrs - Bailed back to court 18/08/10. He has been told to expect a custodial sentence by the court.
3rd Male 23yrs - Fined £211. Banned from driving for 12 Months.
They were also made to clear up the rubbish on the night before they were arrested.
All the details were passed to RMBC Environmental Crime Department who gathered the evidence together and prosecuted the males and took them to court. SNT Police Officers from Rawmarsh assisted with arresting and interviewing the males and the partnership working allowed for a prompt and effective prosecution.
