Operation Hands Off is an intiative that South Yorkshire Police have been running, in conjuction with the AA, for several years now. The aim is to offer crime prevention advice about cars, and also provide a service fitting tamperproof screws to numberplates. These screws stop criminals from being able to unscrew the numberplate from your car and use it to disguise their own car, or a stolen car.
We will be in the carpark of Morrisons at Hillsborough Barracks on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th July 2011, from 10am until 3pm both days.
There will be members of the Safer Neighbourhood Team, Fire service and the AA on hand to offer advice and guidance about this, and many other issues. Please feel free to drop down and see us with any questions you have, or just to have a chat about your area.
