The Children and Young People Officer for North Doncaster Technical College and is based both at the school and Adwick Police Station.
Their role is to reduce anti social behaviour in and around NDTC, identifying and working with young people at risk of becoming involved in offending behaviour.
They work within the Safer Schools Partnership and has sole responsibility for NDTC.
Primary School inputs are limited to Personal Safety, Internet Safety and Anti Social Behaviour, these being complementary to the Missdorothy.com programme currently being utilised at most schools.
They work in partnership with agencies such as Youth Offending Team, Families First, and Remedi, working with small groups of pupils. These workshops are aimed at raising self esteem, risk awareness, behaviour and consequences, and improving inter- personal skills.
They work with the SNT's to carry out test purchase operations at Off-Licenses and supermarkets in the area to help combat under age drinking. They work closely with Education Welfare Officers carrying out Truancy Operations.
